The Vacation

Aizen was defeated, the winter war was over. To say things were normal was a slight understatement. Yes Ichigo was still a substitute soul reaper, had regained his power, had retained his friendships with the soul reapers. But one thing stood out... Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez was one of the only survivors from the espadas.

It was a bit of a surprise that he had survived Nnoitra's attack, and even a bigger surprise that Soul Society had decided to take him and place judgement on him. But the biggest surprise, there's a lot of surprises, was that it wasn't Captain- Commander Yamato that would judge the situation, it was you.

You would be a liar if you couldn't admit to yourself that you had fallen for Grimmjow. Your time spent in Hueco Mundo, he was the one that was always there, always looking for you, always protecting you. You had fallen in love with him, and he with you.

Grimmjow had then been sentenced under house arrest in Karakura Town with Urahara. However, your duties in Soul Society don't stop for anyone, so you had only gotten permission to visit the world of the living for 1 week every month.

It always seemed like a enough, having that 1 week with Grimmjow. Not much had changed really, he was still a lazy, sarcastic, grumpy, and blunt espada he's always been. And you, had gladly accepted that... he'll probably never change.

However, those times spent with Grimmjow, there was a change in his actions. He often stared at other women, even continue conversations with them as they flirted with him. He always reassured you that it was nothing, that you were just seeing things or having negative thoughts. And you being you, believed him.

Not soon after, your questions were answered. You stood outside your shared room with Grimmjow and listened as he had a sexual relationship with another woman. Perhaps this was why he was different, why he acted a certain way now a days. To say you weren't bothered was a lie. To say you weren't heart broken was an even bigger lie. Without much thought anymore, you returned back to Soul Society.

Grimmjow never picked up on your disappearance. In fact, he didn't even know he had been caught. The only reason he noticed you were gone, was when he didn't see you for the present month at the time. And then another, then another, and then another. After 4 months, Grimmjow had come to conclude for sure that you were never coming back. He grinded his teeth in annoyance, and only one thought crossed his mind every time a new month began... "Where the fuck is she?"

9 months later .

"Seriously Yachiru, do we have to take our vacation in the World of the Living?" You asked aggravated by the choice in vacation destinations. Of all the places in the world to go, why Karakura Town? Whyyyy?

"Don't you want to see Ichi?" Yachiru asked as she sat up perched up on Zaraki's shoulder. "Pachinko head and YunYun are here too."

"I wouldn't mind seeing Ichigo." You admitted. "But we see Ikkaku and Yumichika everyday back home."

"Yeah, but families vacation together Mimi- chan!"

"Ok, ok." You held your hands up on surrender. Yachiru was right, family vacation together. Plus there was no point in arguing with her, she had a comeback for everything.

Zaraki simply just followed Kagami to Urahara's place of residence, while listening in on the conversation. They were annoying, arguing about a vacation. Who needs a vacation from fighting? Fighting is the vacation! But as annoying as they sounded, he would never admit to enjoying their company, his families company. Cause if there was one anything that he loved more then fighting, it was these 2. But he would never admit that.

"Urahara-san!" You called out as the three of you walked into the small shop.
"Why are we here?" Zaraki asked annoyed as the spikes of his hair hit the door frame as he leaned down to get in. Must suck to be so tall.
"We have to get gigais to roam around." You answered as you walked further into the shop. "We can't just roam around without a gigai, Captain- Commander will get mad. That was the condition given while we vacation here."
"Fine, but let's hurry up. I want to sleep."
"I told you to sleep last night."
"I was busy."
"With what?"
"Paper work."
"You don't do paper work!" You answered back.
