We were all sitting on the porch's' floor in a circle talking No we weren't playing games or listening to music we were just talking about whatever came to our mind I was stuck in thinking world but I had a question that was really bothering me I turned to Riley who was sitting next to me "Is Shawn my father now?" I asked "Not officially he'll have to adopt you first" I groaned and rested my head on her shoulder starting to drift off to sleep "Hey why don't you go bring your guitar and play something to raise this boring mood a little?" Riley whispered in my ear and I nodded getting up getting back into the house to bring my other best friend
JOSH'S POV
I was sitting on the porch with everyone else just listening to their conversations Right now I was listening to the conversation of almost everyone about what Shawn and Katy are going to do now that they're married
"Hey where are you going to your honeymoon?" Ava asked curious "Shawn is taking me to Fiji" Katy said smiling at Shawn "Take me to Fiji!" Ava half shouted at Auggie "You're killing me Shawn!" Auggie said glaring at him playfully and we all laughed
They kept talking about whatever while I just looked at Maya, she was deep in thoughts not even paying attention that she was fiddling with the flowers in the bouquet (the one she caught earlier) I find it really cute when she does things and she doesn't even know it. she suddenly turned to riley and said something to her and after Riley responded she groaned and rested her head on Riley's' shoulder trying to fall asleep But then Riley whispered something in her ear waking her up Maya nodded, got up and went inside She probably went to sleep
And I guess I am wrong because she came back 2 minutes later with her acoustic guitar that I think Riley gave her (It's the guitar from girl meets 1961) and sat back between Riley and Farkle

She started strumming softly some etude that was really relaxing "Hey Maya sing us something" Zay said "I can strum the guitar but I need someone to sing it" she said pursing her lips "I think Zay meant that you'll sing" I said "You did?" she turned to him "He did" I said "I did" he said smiling "I-I'm not sure" she looked insecure "Maya come on you have an amazing voice" Riley said "Ugh fine" she said and we all cheered "But you're singing with me" she pointed at Riley who just simply shrugged
Maya started strumming the guitar then she started singing 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Megan Trainor and John Legend

She barely even started singing and we all already looked at her with our mouths wide open

After she finished the chorus she closed her eyes again and kept singing Well that was weird
When the last chorus came we all sang it together "Like I'm gonna lo-ose you" she finished and we all cheered for her
"Babygirl that was amazing!" Katy smiled at Maya "Thanks mom" "Sing another one!" Auggie and Ava said smiling and we all agreed "Well what'd you want me to sing?" she asked them smiling "Maya sing one of your songs!" Riley said only to get a death glare from Maya as a response I didn't know she's writing songs "You write songs?" I asked "No" she looked at me "Maya I heard one of your songs once and it was amazing!" Topanga said "Oh please sing us one of your songs" my mom said then looked at Auggie and he gave her thumbs up smiling "I'd like to hear it too" Mr. Feeny said "Hey kiddo if Feeny asked you to do it then you have to" Shawn said Maya rolled her eyes "I really hate you guys" she said giving us a fake pout and we all laughed "ok fine just let me think about a song" She got up and pulled Riley to the side
MAYA'S POV
"Riles what am I gonna sing? I mean most of my songs are about Josh and I don't want to embarrass him" I asked panicking "Since when do you care about what other people think?" she asked furrowing her brows "wait! You're not turning back to being me right???" she gasped then shook me by the shoulders "Maya come back!" "Riley I'm not a werewolf I can't turn into something!" I said getting her hands off my shoulders "look I love you but you gotta stop acting like you're terrified of the thought that there'll be two of you in the world" I stopped and she looked confused "I mean we're best friends you know me and you know I'm not going on the same steps twi- wait a minute! You're my best friend!" I said excitedly realizing what I should sing "Uuhh yeah we are why do you think I bought us these rin-" I cut her off by hugging her "I love you so much!" I said and pulled away "I love you too but wh-" I dragged her back to the others and we sat back on the porch's floor
"Ok I got it" I said smiling at Riley who still looked confused Well you see I wrote a song about her a while ago and she doesn't know that so why not give her a surprise :)
I started singing my song called "seamless" looking at Riley the whole time
When I finished singing she was smiling so wide that I thought her face would rip up any second
she jumped on me and gave me the tightest hug ever and we were both laughing while everybody awwwwed us
"Ok this is cute but I'm hungry who wants cake?" Zay asked ruining the moment
Everybody said "me" or "I do" or whatever while Josh and I just looked at each other and laughed
