Girl Meets Promise

MAYA'S POV

~4:50am~

I just finished drawing on the last wall and the girls just finished coloring the first two.

"Hey I think we should go to sleep we've been awake for too long" Vanessa said
"You girls can go to sleep I'll stay here and finish with this, except someone has to open the door for the guys when they come back" I said
Yes. They're not back yet.
"I say we leave them out" Smackle said
"I'd like to do that but I know they would be very drunk when they get here so..." I said
"Maya are you sure you want to stay awake? I mean you're should get more sleep then us right now" Vanessa said
"It's ok" I said
They nodded and walked out of the room

Riley stayed in the room looking down
"Riley go to sleep" I told her "You had a rough day come on" I stepped closer to her
"I'm not leaving you alone" she looked up
Her eyes were bloodshot red from tiredness and probably from holding back tears too
"Riles you can barely stand right now. Go to sleep."
"I'm not leaving you alone" she said again with a weird tone
"Why?"
"Because I don't want you to do something stupid"
"I won't"
"I don't believe you"
"Riley..."
"Please?"
"Fine" I groaned

We started coloring the last wall
I knew something's off with her

"Riles"
"Peaches"
"Come here" I opened my arms for a hug and she came to me hugging back
"Let it out" I said as she started crying

We were sitting on the floor so we were the same height and she was crying on my shoulder
I was rubbing her back with one hand and stroking her hair with the other

"Maya?" she mumbled into my shoulder in between sobs
"Mhmm?"
"Are you ok?" she lifted her head from my shoulder wiping her cheeks and looking deep into my eyes as if she's trying to read my mind

I faked a smile "I'm always ok"
"I know" she smiled sadly and hugged me again
Of course she knows I'm lying. She knows me too well.

I wish I knew myself better but... well you know.

Suddenly there was a ding from my phone
"Who would text me at 5am?" I thought out loud as I pulled away from the hug and opened my phone
"Who is it?" Riley asked
"Someone I named Dyl" I said confused "he asks if I'm awake"
"It's probably Dylan Sprayberry say yes"
"Umm ok"

"He asks if he can call me"
"Say yes" she chuckled "and put it on speaker"

I wrote yes and he called
I put the phone on speaker as I answered

Dylan- Hey Maya
Me- Uh hi
Riley- Hi Dyl wassup?
Dylan- *chuckles* Hi Riley I'm good just couldn't sleep how are you guys doing
Riley- *sniff slightly* Uh we're *looks at me* good I guess
Dylan- what's wrong?? Are you and Maya ok?
Riley looked at me with a weird face as if she's saying sorry
Riley- Maya... can't remember anything
Dylan- what?? Why haven't you told me what happened??
Me- I'm ok umm Dylan it was this or die so..
Dylan- WHAT??
Riley- she was in coma for a month then almost died but woke up the last second and BAM she can't remember anything
Dylan- wow... wait so why are you crying now Riley?
Riley- you remember Lucas?
Dylan- Yeah...
Riley- we all went to this party tonight and all the boys...*chocking on tears*
Dylan- what?
Me- they all cheated on us
Dylan- I'm going to kill them! Where are you?? They are so dead!
Riley- *chuckles slightly* thanks Dyl but... I think we're going to kill them ourselves first... then Shawn and my dad will then you can do what you want with their bodies
Dylan- Maya? How are you dealing with this? I mean you looked really in love with that Josh guy...
Me- I'm fine... he's the one who's not going to be fine though
Dylan- Riley?
Riley- yeah she's lying
Me- guys I'm seriously fine it's ok
Riley- Maya you might not remember yourself but we do and you always say you're fine when you're not
Dylan- *someone shouts his name in the background* my grandma is never asleep *sighs* I gotta go girls let me know if you need me to kick their asses off
Riley- we will thanks Dyl
Me- yeah thanks
Dylan- and let me know if you remember something Maya... bye
