I wake up the next morning with the sounds of soft singing and light strums of a guitar.
I glance over to my right, finding Brendon, guitar in hand singing.
I smile, watching intently as Brendon sings, his eyes closed and his black locks swaying slightly.
He soon finishes, and I clap happily, scaring the living daylights out of Brendon.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" He smiles after calming down from the scare I gave him.
"No, no, your voice is beautiful, Bren." I say, and he looks down and blushes.
"Thank you, that means a lot. Me, Ryan, Jon and Spencer were going to start a band before the incident happened." He replys, sighing after talking.
"It's not too late to fix things. In fact, I think I will visit him after I get out of here, and you should come with me." I say, Brendon looking at me like I was nuts.
"I think it is, you can go. I'm not going to see him." Brendon shakes his head, then the doctor walks in.
"Good Morning, Miss Francis. You can go home today." She says, taking out the iv from my arm.
"But first, let's try standing up." She starts again, taking my hands and slowly helping me stand up, getting slightly dizzy.
"Are you feeling alright? It's normal to be a little dizzy the first time you stand." She says, letting me go.
After the dizzyness went away, I walked around the room, getting better.
"I will be right back, I'm going to grab the discharge papers for you." The doctor says before walking out of the room.
"Finally, I can get out of here." I sigh, Brendon getting up, hugging me with his head nuzzled in my neck.
"Alrighty, I've got the- oh, sorry. Did I interrupt something?" The doctor says, rubbing her temple in embarrassment for (slightly) ruining the moment.
We pull away, blushing madly as I look up at the doctor, taking the papers from her hands.
"No it's fine." I mumble, walking over to the bed and sitting down. I began filling out the papers, the questions becoming more and more tedious as it went by.
After I had finished, the doctor came back in soon after, taking he papers and telling me to pack my stuff up.
I happily put my stuff in a bag that they gave me, so excited to finally go home. I looked over to Brendon, who's smile was big and wide.
Finally I gathered all of my things and we left the room, heading downstairs to the exit.
A thought came into my mind as we waited for the elevator.
"Brendon?" I asked, stepping in front of him.
"Yeah Cami?" He replied, smiling.
"How about we go see Ryan?" I suggest, Brendon's smile turning into a frown.
"Why would you want to see him?" He argues, his arms crossed over his chest.
"He is my friend, and I would like to see him." I retort, placing my hands on my hips.
"The friend that hit you? You still call him a friend?" He says, placing emphasis on friend.
"Yes. It was a drunken mistake." I defend, making direct eye contact with Brendon.
"That's not an excuse. There is no excuse for what he did to you." He says again, eyebrows raising.
"It was merely just a push Bren." I sigh.
"Yeah, a 'push' that got you into the hospital." He air quotes push.
I was about to say something back but a loud clearing of someone's throat interrupted our heated conversation.
I turned around to see a man holding the elevator obviously waiting for us to get in. I mumbled a quiet "thank you" before heading into the elevator, Brendon close behind.
After we got downstairs, I immediately went to the front desk.
"Um, excuse me miss, where is Ryan Ross's room?" I asked the secretary, Brendon rolled his eyes.
She nodded, shifting in her chair as she typed away at the computer for a moment, then turned to look at me.
"Ryan is in room 243 on floor 3, in the intensive care unit." She replies with a smile.
I say a quick thanks before walking towards the elevators yet again, but then got stopped by a firm hand in my wrist.
"What are you doing? I'm your ride home!" He exasperated, searching my face.
"It's fine I'll walk. I want to see Ryan." I say before ripping my wrist from his hand, pressing the up button on the elevator.
