I woke up to the sensation of someone kissing my forehead. My eyes fluttered open to see my soon to be husband lying next to me.

" Good morning." I greeted with a smile and a long yon.

" доброе утро, is how you say good morning in Russian." Dimitri mumbled in his husky morning voice.

Suddenly our little moment of peace was interrupted by yelling in the hallway outside our bedroom door. Honestly what's new?

" No you can't, they are still asleep!" Yelled a familiar voice but I couldn't put my tongue on it.

" Like hell I'm going to let them sleep away their most important day." A female voice roared as the doorknob to our door jiggled and opened with a thud.

" Who gave Sofia a key?" Dimitri groaned as he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

" Don't underestimate my gathering skills." Sofia scolded walking to my side of the bed with an ear to ear grin." Ready to get all dolled up for the wedding?!" She asked almost as happy as if it were her own.

" Five more minutes." I joked as I pulled the covers over my head.

" Anna this is no time for stalling, let's get going!" Sofia nagged as she grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of my room.

" See you at the alter." I yelled back at Dimitri and with a smile, he waved me off. Damn I wish I could cuddle with him longer.

Sofia drove me to the chapel at which I was scheduled to marry Dimitri in. To my surprise it had colorful domes at the top and lots of beautiful pillars. Although this location was picked months ago I had never gotten the chance to check it out beforehand. I'm glad Dimitri and his family chose well.

Dimitri spared no expense to ensure this was the best wedding of the freakin century. Honestly I was against spending so much money but he insisted. He kept telling me it was tradition or something.

Sofia dragged me into a small room for the bride and brides maids to get ready. Since I didn't know many girls here in Russia my brides maid were exclusively Sofia. Never pictured it like this but I can't say I'm against it. Less drama is always preferred especially on such an important day.

We had fun while she helped me into my dress and we did our hair together. I told Sofia that she could do my makeup since she was amazing at that kind of stuff. Since she was going to be my new sister-in-law I will have to learn all her beauty secrets.

My heart was beating so fast as the ceremony approached though. Every time I glanced up at the clock time seemed to slow for some reason, only about five minutes had passed since the last time I checked. For some reason I couldn't shake this weird feeling that things were going too well and something catastrophic was bound to happen. I don't know if it's because of my past bad luck but things always went south when I got too happy.

Sofia seemed to notice my mood change and shot me a questioning glance.

" What's wrong? Are you having second thoughts? You can't get cold feet on me after I spent an hour on your beautiful face." She joked as she put down her eyeshadow brush.

" No, no, it's not that. I just feel like this day is too good to be true. I have a bad feeling in my gut that something bad is going to happen." I admit with a sigh. The others were right, Sofia did have an air to her that just made you tell the truth. I couldn't hide anything from her anymore.

" Nothing bad will happen, you are just overthinking things again. The bride needs to have a positive attitude on the wedding day." Sofia reminded as she pushed a piece of hair out of my face." You look beautiful." She said with a kind smile. For some reason I believed her. She was becoming quite the hype man.
