Inuyasha (MY WAY)

The past

As Naraku turns to dust, Kagome begins to float her entire being glowing with light.

"I want you to be happy Inuyasha," she says as tears roll down her cheeks. "and if that means I have to give my life, so be it."

"What are you going to do Kagome?" Inuyasha asks franticly.

"Kikyo, I leave the Shikon Jewel with you." Kagome says turning to her.

"This body won't last much longer without a soul and the jewel isn't much use to me if I'm dead." Kikyo says sarcastically.

"That's why I'm going to give it back to you." she says. The glowing light that consumes Kagome transfers to Kikyo. Her body goes numb as she falls to the ground and everyone surrounds her, except Kikyo.

Kagome's body begins to vanish as she says her last words, "Inuyasha, I have always loved you."

Then she was gone.

For the first few weeks Inuyasha returned to Kagome's time, thinking she'd be sent back their, but she was never born. Since the Shikon Jewel didn't need to come back, there wasn't a reason for her to be born. So after a month Inuyasha gave up looking for Kagome, excepting she was gone.
