Inuyasha (MY WAY)

Wish Undone

As Karau falls she looks up to see Inuyasha looking down at her with shock and fear. "I have to do this." She reminds herself as she closes her eyes and welcomes the fall. As she's falling, the force field around Circe's hidden home engulfs her and everything goes black.

Inuyasha watches until Karau dissappears into Circe's home. He quickly goes down the mountain. In search of Circe's secret entrance.

Karau wakes up in a dim lit room, large bowls hang from the ceiling filled with fire. "I hear you've been looking for me." She sits up to see a young women in a long blue robe and long brown hair.

"Are you Circe?" Karau asks standing. The women nods, gesturing for Karau to follow her. Karau follows Circe into a room filled with candles and a large cauldron in the middle of the room.

"What is it that you want help with?" Circe asks walking around the rusted cauldron.

"I hear you're the only one who can undo wishes made by the Shikon Jewel." Karau says stepping into the room.

"And if I can?" Circe looks up from the cauldron sending a daring glare to Karau, wanting the truth as to why she's here.

Karau closes her eyes taking a deep breath, she opens her kimono. "Your body is rotting away." Circe observes. Karau quickly closes her kimono, nodding her head.

"I don't have much time. When my body disintegrates all the demon power this body has consumed will be released all at once, condemning the world. It'll destroy the future." Karau explains.

"So what is it exactly you want me to do?" Circe asks, starting to pour potions and herbs into the cauldron.

"I want you to send Kagome's soul back to her time. It's the only way for everything to be alright again." Karau pleads.

"You do know what will happen to you? Kagome would have never come here, Sango and Miroku would not have met because of you, and Inuyasha would have never loved you. Will you be able to live with that?" Circe explains. Karau blinks to keep back her tears, "A world without Inuyasha..... Could I live with that?"

"It doesn't matter what I'm able to live without, if I don't do this there will be no future for anyone." Karau says approaching the cauldron. Circe hums as she continues to mix things into the cauldron. As she drops in the last herb, the cauldron changes color and puff of smoke rises. Circe fills a small vial with the concoction and sets it on a small table.

Karau walks further into the room eyeing the vial. Just as Karau is about to take the vial into her hands Circe gasps looking into a mirror that hangs on the wall. The mirror ripples before showing Inuyasha, Sango, and Miroku breaking down the castle's force field and storming into the castle.

"Your friends are here." Circe says taking the vial and holding it out to Karau. "What will you do?"

Karau looks between the vial and her friends through the mirror. Taking a deep breath, Karau takes the vial and opens it. Just as she's about to drink it the door to the room is busted open.

"Karau what are you doing?" Inuyasha asks. She glances over to him, then closes her eyes and downs the concoction Circe made. The vial slips from Karau's fingers and shatters on the ground.

"Karau what have you done?" Inuyasha cries, rushing towards Karau. He grabs her before she can fall to the ground. "Why?"

"I had to set things right." Karau says as everything starts to get blurry.

"NO KARAU!" Inuyasha says as Karau closes her eyes and her body fades away to nothing.

"Kagome wake up." Kagome opens her eyes to see her three friends standing around her desk.

"What's gotten into you? You never fall asleep in class." Ayumi asks.

"I'm not really sure." Kagome says looking around the room like she's lost.

"Have you seen the new trasfer student?" Eri asks the group.

"Transfer student?" Kagome asks. Ayumi, Eri, and Yuka all look towards her as if she's grown another head.

"Have you been living under a rock or something?" Yuka asks. Kagome looks between the girls, shaking her head. "The new transfer student from Kamakura, Inu?" Just as she says his name the class room door slides open and in walks the most handsome boy Kagome had ever seen. He has shiny silver hair with bright brown, almost golden eyes.

"Just like the man from my dream...."
