Inuyasha (MY WAY)

Blood Stained Cherry Blossoms

Its almost been a month since Karau made her little visit,  Miroku has found information but can't get in touch with her.

*FLASHBACK*

"How do I find you?" Miroku asks as Karau towers over him.

"When the the blood stained cherry blossoms fall, follow them. They will lead you to the pond I once used to revive myself; there I will be waiting."

With one last glance towards Miroku, she exists the hut and they vanish just like the wind.

*END OF FLASHBACK* 

His children scream from outside and quickly he makes his way out to them. Examining his kids, to see that there is nothing wrong with them.

"What's wrong?" he asks, but none of them answer. Follow their gaze to see blood stained cherry blossoms falling out of no where.

As the wind blows harder, Karau's voice is whispered, I'll be waiting. Miroku races back into the house.

"What's wrong?" his loving wife asks as he gather hi weapons.

"I'm going to see Karau." he answers honestly. Sango just as quickly starts to load her weapons as well.

"I'm going alone." he says stopping her.

"Why?" she asks angrily.

"She had asked me to help her with something, something that could set everything straight." Miroku says cryptically. Sango eyes him wearily before nodding in understanding. Miroku finishes up and quickly leaves the hut, following the blood stained cherry blossoms. They seem to whirl around him as he races through the forest towards the abandoned pond.

All to soon the wind stops and the cherry blossoms fall silently to the ground. Miroku stops and looks around. The cherry blossoms have stopped blowing, but fall to the ground creating a path. He quickly continues not wasting anymore time. 

Soon enough the glittering of the sun on the water comes into view. On the other side of the pond Karau is sitting in the water. He stays behind the tree line, watching her. As she stands out of the water, her back to Miroku she shouts, "I see you're still a pervert, Miroku."

With is head bowed he comes out from behind the tree line. Looking up Karau is now wrapped in a towel, dipping her feet into the water and her hair pulled to the left side of her face dripping down the side of her body.

"Stop staring and tell me what you found out." Karau demands, sending him a dirty look for staring.

"I found the sorceresses you spoke of. Her name is Circe, she lives in the southern mountains, isolated from everyone." he explains.

"Circe." Karau mumbles.

"They say no one has ever come out of her cave. Once you enter there's no going back." Miroku warns.

"I'm well aware of the risks." Karau states coldly. "Thank you Miroku and I promise I'll set everything right."

As she starts to disappear into the forest Miroku asks, "Why are you doing this?"

Stopping, she never turns around, "Because things are not what they are supposed to be." And with that she disappears once again.

Karau returns to Inuyasha, who seems too relaxed.

"Where did you go?" he asks as Karau puts her kimono back on.

"Just for a swim."

"That's nice." he says laying on the grass.

"Why did you follow me?" she asks anger clear in her voice.

"I didn't." he denies, clearly lying.

"Do not lye to me Inuyasha. I sensed you watching us." she exclaims clearly frustrated.

Sitting up he look at Karau, his eyes slowly starting to glow a murderous red. "And what if I was?"

"Nothing, but the fact that you'd lye to my about something so insignificant just shows that you don't trust me." This catches Inuyasha's attention. Shooting up he grasp Karau by her shoulders, "Karau I owe everything to you."

"Exactly, being grateful and trusting me are two different things." she says, sadness lining her voice.

"Karau, what's wrong?" Inuyasha holds her at arms length, peering into her eyes.

"Inuyasha," she looks at him, tears daring to fall. "We need to go our separate ways again."

"What?!" Inuyasha exclaims. "Why! No, I just got you back. Karau I love you, please don't leave me again." he's now fallin to his knees begging. 

"Inuyasha," she pulls away, stepping farther away. "I have too. It's because I love you I'm doing this." As she turns to leave Inuyasha grabs her, pushing her up against a tree. He looks at her with love and frustration.

"I've heard that before and the last time I did you left for THREE YEARS!!! I'm not going to lose you again Karau is that clear?" Inuyasha declares. Karau hold on any long as tears flood from her eyes. She grasps onto Inuyasha as if he'll disappear. 

"Stay with me Karau." he whispers. Karau nods frantically as she wipes away her tears. Inuyasha leads her to where he was laying down before and envelopes Karau in his arms. 

All she can think is "Good bye Inuyasha."

What's Karau's plan? What is she going to do? Will she leave Inuyasha AGAIN?
