Inuyasha (MY WAY)

Demon Slayer

As Inuyasha enters the hut, followed by Karau they are greeted by the three children they saw earlier, holding weapons to their faces.

"Oh, aren't they just the cutest things." Karau laughs, walking past the children. The children stand up straight in shock. Inuyasha snickers at their confusion,  waking past them. Karau drops herself on the floor, leaning into Inuyasha as he does the same.

"Where are your parents?" Karau asks, her eyes boring into them.

"They stepped out for a minute." one of the girls says.

"They should be back soon." says the other.

"Are you afraid of us?" Inuyasha asks, his eyes growing dark. The girls stand tall together, pushing their little brother behind them in a protective way. Laughing Karau stands and makes her way over to the children. She kneels down in front of them and pats their heads, looking into their fearful eyes.

Then out of nowhere, a thin blade is placed at the back of Karau's neck. Inuyasha is up in a flash, readying his Tetsusaiga. Karau rises slowly, "You never were one to take kindly to my little jokes." She turns to face Miroku holding a sword to Karau's throat.

"We didn't come here to fight, though it would be an interesting battle." Karau eyes Miroku as she makes her way back to Inuyasha.

Miroku kneels in front of his children, "Mommy and daddy need to talk to the nice demons, ok." The children nod their heads and quickly make their way out of the hut, but not before sneaking a final glance at Karau and Inuyasha.

An awkward silence falls between them, as Miroku stares daggers at Karau. Sango comes into the room and sits next to Miroku, speaking first.

"Why have you come?"

"Can't we come by and catch up with some old friends?" Karau asks innocently.

They share a glance before answering, "No."

"Don't you think you're being a little cold to your old friends?" Inuyasha asks.

"No. Why have you come here?" Miroku asks again, this time more forcefully. Inuyasha readies himself to attack, but Karau stops him.

"We've come to catch up, seeing you only hours ago made us realize how long its been since we've seen the old village." Karau says sweetly. Miroku passes Sango an uneasy glance.

"How's Kaede?" Inuyasha asks into the uneasy silence.

"Dead." Miroku says coldly.

"You have lost your humor and have become a serious old fool." Karau states bluntly.

"I think it best on if we leave." Inuyasha suggest placing a hand of Karau's arm.

"I'll walk you out." Sango says standing.

"Can you give us a moment?" Karau asks, never taking her eyes from Miroku's. Sango gives him a questionable look, in return he nods his head in agreement. Sango glances between Karau and Miroku before walking Inuyasha outside.

As soon as they leave, Karau and Miroku are at each other's throats swords in hand. They glare daggers at each other for a moment, before Karau lowers her's. 

"Why are we at each other's throats?" she asks never leaving his gaze.

"Because you're a heartless demon who kills for pleasure." he states bluntly.  Karau swiftly moves her blade, knocking Miroku's out of his hand. The sword lands in her hand as she trips Miroku, landing on his back. She points both swords at him, as he stares at her with hateful eyes.

"Are you done?" she asks. Reluctantly he nods, sitting up Karau hands him back his sword and steps to the other side of the room to sit.

"I hear there is a sorceresses who can reverse wishes, is it true?" Karau genuinely asks.

"Why do you ask?" Miroku asks.

"There is a wish that needs undone. The wish has upset the balance of everything." Karau explains.

"What is happening?" he asks, a slight smirk on his face. Karau glares at him as she opens her kimono to reveal her rotting flesh. 

"If nothing is done, my flesh will continue to rot away and the demon aura that radiates off me will send havoc on to the world, plus you'll have a rage driven demon slaughtering people letf and right." Karau says, wiping the smirk off his face.

"How do you even know if this sorceresses even exists?" Miroku asks skeptic.

"I have seen her work her magic before, but she only shows herself to the pure to help the tainted." Karau explains.

"Why would I help you?" 

"If the wish is undone you won't even remember me, everything will start over and it'll be like you never met me. But the outcome will be the same; your wind  tunnel will be gone, you'll fall in love with Sango. Everything will be the same except you'll have never met me." 

There is a long silence as the two look at each other, Karau's eyes slightly pleading with Miroku's stern ones. After a while Miroku adverts his eyes, sighing he looks back up at Karau.

"I'll look into it."
