I pull into Greg's Drive way. I wish Jason was here he was always so calm in situations like this.

I grab my over night bag walk inside.

I walk in going straight to my room.

"Emily." Greg say. I stop my movements. "Dinner will be ready in 15 minutes."

I huff walking up the stairs. Slamming my room door. I grab my Laptop off my dresser FaceTiming Jason.

"Hey Babe." He smiles his hair was wet and curly he and he wasn't wearing a shirt.

"I don't wanna be here. I have a class tomorrow." I sigh leaning back on my head board.

"You'll be okay. I wish i was there tho."

I frown. "Me too."

"I'm gone be busy like crazy this week between football and classes making sure my grades stay up." He sighs.

"I have-"

Somebody knocks on my door. I get up opening the door. "Dinners ready." Greg say then walk away.

"I'll call you later if not I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay love you good luck."

"Love you too." I close my laptop walking and downstairs to then dinning room.

I sit down. Going straight to my food. "How was Barbados?"

"Good. Relaxing." He smile. "How was meeting your Father?"

"Ask your disrespectful son."

Ryder rolls his eyes. "I was asked him one question."

"You was being an ass." I argue back.

"I wanted answers!" He yells

"You didn't give him time to explain anything!"

"He-"

"ENOUGH!" Greg's shouts. Both me and Ryder sit back in our chairs. "Now you two are arguing about something pointless. Emily found her real father and if she wants to spend time with him. She can. And you." He points he's fork at Ryder. "If you want answers ask me. That man doesn't have to explain himself to anybody but Emily."

"Dad! He the reason why I was beaten all the time." He argues.

"No that man tired to protect you from me. I was the reason why you was beaten everyday. He would've never put you or your sister in harms way. "

"Brian said that-"

"Brian was a twisted man with an twisted head. Don't believe anything that bastard told you."

"Is Brian they guy that took me?" I bunt in.

"Yes. Sweetheart and I'm sorry that you had to even deal with him." Greg rubs my hand

"I remember him saying that my mother was a whore and he would always threaten to cut my tongue out my mouth if I keep crying. He-" I stop myself from talking.

I look up Greg and Ryder's eyes was on me.

"It's an good thing he's dead." Ryder says. "I hate that man with everything in me."

"You still have the scars." I mumble.

He nods. "Every time Skylar
sees them she's start crying." He looks at Greg. "My back is covered with lashes. I still have that scar on my arm for standing up to you." For the first time in years I see my brother cry. "I still remember how I got every one. How I got beat into a coma. How I was placed in a mental hospital. Why I was hanging from a barn for 3 days staving and dehydrated. Everything you did to us it was hate for our mother. " He looks back at me. "You think you had it rough? You got it easy. I protected you. What they did to to me. You would be dead If that was to happen to you." He looks down wiping his eyes. "You don't understand how many nights I cried. The nightmares. You turned me into somebody I didn't know. I never thought I could have a wife or kids. Because they wouldn't expect me or my fucked family and past. She broke me she seen something in me that none of you saw. I love my son to death and no matter how mad he makes me I would never put my hands on him."
