Chapter 35
Michaels POV
"This is it." Aimee said showing me the envelope.
The kids slipped off their chairs and ran into the living room to play, giggling.
Aimee looked at me then gulped, placing it on the table.
I read it:
To: Michael J. Jackson
35 Cresent Hill
Long Island, New York 03921
From: The New Your Central Care Center
45 Rolander Street
Long Island, New York 03921
I sighed and took the envelop from her, brushing my finger over the address.
This letter.
This one little letter will change my life forever.
Aimee stared at me, curiously.
"Well, are you gonna open it?"
I held it in my hand and stood.
"Privately. Alone. By myself."
I could tell she was hurt by that, then her face was washed with a wave of understanding.
She took my face in her hands and kissed me softly and passionately.
"Michael... I promise, no matter what the tests say I will love you, and never ever leave you okay?"
I nodded and kissed her lips.
"Thank you. I'm gonna go outside and open this now. I'll be back okay?"
She nodded as touched my cheek.
"Okay baby..."
She took the kids plates and walked to the sink.
I looked at the door and walked outside into the backyard.
I looked at the big oak tree and started to climb to the top, where there was a perfect spot to sit.
I made it and sat down, my legs stretched out in front of me.
I stared at the envelop.
Just do it.
It will be fine.
Everything-... Everything will be okay.
I ripped the back open and pulled out the letter, my heart racing.
I opened the letter and I didn't read it, I just looked at it.
Suddenly, the deck door slammed open and Aimee was standing there, holding the bottom of her stomach.
I stuffed the letter in my pocket.
I almost fell out of the tree, from how fast I was trying to get down.
I ran to her and held her hand.
"Whats wrong?"
"Michael, I just went in to labor."
My mouth dropped.
"....Well let's go!" I said picking her up an rushing her inside.
I didn't realized that the Letter had fallen out when I jumped from the tree.
