Michael's POV

I looked at the phone, extremely confused as to why it wasn't working.

I sighed, the stupid thing wouldn't even turn on, it was dead.

Aimee came over to me, visibly shaking now.

"Michael, Michael something is wrong!" She cried.

I sighed and rubbed her arm. "Baby, it's alright.. don't worry. Okay?"

She shook her head, sniffling. "No! Something is going on.."

I sighed and kissed her forehead. "Baby, I'll grab my cell, call the police and let them know what's going on. Okay? Everything's gonna be fine.."

She shakes her head and walks past me, going upstairs to get the kids.

******************************************

The police came over the house and checked the window, the steps and the phone.

As for the steps, they don't know, they took finger prints from the window, and as for the phone, the wires had been cut outside.

Aimee was pretty shaken up about it, she was very quiet for the rest of the night.

After dinner she put the kids to bed and was in bed early.

I walked into our room and sighed, seeing her back to me.

I slid my shirt off, running my hand through my hair, then climbed into bed behind her.

I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close.

"I'm here baby, don't worry.." I whispered.

She didn't say anything, she was already fast asleep.
