The Fall That Led to A Rise (SNK AU)

I looked out the window, admiring the foggy day. I wondered what it would be like at this school, Trost. It can't be bad, right? It's probably the jitters that have me thinking about this. I blew my red hair out our face and got up off the ledge by my window and proceeded on getting ready.

Backpack, check. Phone, check. Hair, could be better. Mental state, negative. I sighed and went to meet my brother Zachary down stairs, waiting for the bus, leading to my new school.

You're probably thinking, who is she? Well here's the intro!

I'm Yui Tachibana, 16 and 154 cm tall. I have long red hair, a long with glazing violet eyes like none other. I'm not big on socializing, or being normal in general. I spend my time inside, listening to music or sketching. Days like these groggy, grey ones add to my mood.

The dumb kid I live with, yeah his name is Zachary, or Zach. He has auburn hair and ocean blue eyes, and is a year older than me. He is pretty smart, he was wrestling captain at our old school so his skills rubbed off on me. I look up to him as a parent figure, since our parents passed when we were young. Well, here we are, the Tachibana's.

"Yui hurry up would you?!" Zach was already heading out the door when I bolted down my staircase.

"Jeez, slow your role captain. I'm going, I'm going." I sighed and locked the door behind me, hearing a click signalling me it's secure. We waited for the bus to drive down the road, which took ages. I looked up at the sad sky and wondered how it would have been like if they were here, supporting me and Zach. I give a sly smile to the moist, dark cloud. I look at the trees surrounding my new home, the pines ever so gently brushing against each other in the light wind. Zach turns and faces me, placing both hands on each of my shoulders, giving me a smile I knew too well.

"Hey, kid, it'll be alright. C'mon you have moms killer looks, you'll make friends in no time!" Smiling with eyes closed, I did the same as he. Who knows, maybe it will be a heck of a year. All too soon, after what felt like ages, the bus arrives.

Time to start over.
