The Fall That Led to A Rise (SNK AU)

① Chapter ①

I got on the bus with Zach. The bus driver, a rather middle aged lady named Lia (according to her name tag) greeted us with a bright smile which me and my brother gladly returned.

We sat in the far back where there was solitude and peace. Or so we thought. It wasn't until the next bus stop that the kids went nuts. Every so often you would see soggy spit balls get stuck in someone's hair or hear a sudden "Fuck off!!" Zach plugged in his headphones and rode silently. I rolled my eyes and continued to observe the students aboard.

She's tall, skinny, pink hair, blue eyes. He's funny looking, and has a hole in his pants. Rank. (I actually giggled at that, only because he did have a nice rear end.) Then... a boy that did catch my attention.

I couldn't help but stare and smile a small smile. He seemed tall, a bit tan and had black hair that was like any other, but it caught my attention. Not to mention his eyes, they were more of an emerald green rather than plain green. He was sitting in the front of the bus, with some other boy, uh Reiner I believe. I overheard his name being called out a couple times. This so said tall guy turned around every so often and caught a glimpse of me looking at him. I shrieked mentally and turned away to face Zach, who by now gave me a look that says "you're strange don't breathe my air." I smiled nervously and face palmed myself.

Way to go Yui, not even 10 minutes on this bus and the tall hunk probably thinks you're a creep and your brother is probably going to kill you. I blow air out of my lips, making a horse sound and a loud one.

"Hey horse face!! Pretty red head is doing your mating call!!"

"Fuck off Eren! At least I'm not ugly!" the two boys bickered back and forth until a black haired girl yelled at them to settle down, or they're going to get a whooping. Now I know she's not one to mess with. She quickly turned around and I studied her.

A red scarf, a black pullover hoodie, and white pants. I envied her hair, as a matter of fact. It wasn't too long or too short, just perfect.

"Sorry about that, those two can be real idiots sometimes. I'm Mikasa, what about you? Do you have a name?" I nodded and stated.

"Yui. Yui Tachibana. It's nice to meet you, Mikasa." I smiled and she introduced these two said idiots.

"This is Eren." The boy waved and smiled. His eyes were a stunning blue like shade, his hair was a dark brown and he had a pearly white smile. He seemed like a person I wouldn't mind hanging out with.

"And this horse face is Jean."

"I'm not a hor- forget it. Hello I'm horse face, nice to meet you..."

"Yui." I reached out my hand and he gladly accepted the hand shake.

"Yui.. Lovely name for a lovely girl." He winked which I found quite creepy, but he was pretty cute, not going to lie. Although he had funky hair, still quite charming.

"Is that your brother or something?" Eren stared at Zach and I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, this is Zach who is in his own little world right now. He's a grade ahead of us."

The rest of the ride to school was great! We all got acquainted with each other, including Zach. Turns out we all had familiar interest such as drawing, martial arts, and such. I felt good about this school now that I have a glimpse of some people in it.

We arrived and got our schedules. I have 3 classes with Eren, Zach and Mikasa, and two classes with Jean. I felt a wave of relief knowing I have my first friends and brother in some classes. As soon as the bell rang we departed, going to first period, which by a bad chance, I knew no one. I walked in grabbed an empty desk in the back by the window and got situated, pulling my bag off my shoulder and waited to see who was in this class.

So far, just your average joe walking in, no one worthy of drooling over or anything. Bummer, right?

Then the tall boy I saw in the bus earlier walked in.

Pffft. No big deal. Play it cool.

He started walking towards my direction.

Haaa! Don't sweat.

Then, as if he knew I secretly wanted him to sit by me, started walking towards my direction.

"Hi, mind if I sit here?" I snapped out of my trance and felt my cheeks get hot hot like a potat.

"Of course not, go ahead!!" Don't die Yui it's your first day here.

*hides* ok this is boring eek sorry!! I just needed to kind of get the place and some people situated. It should get better ((should))
