PROLOGUE: MANAN IN A FASHION HOUSE

What happens when two people with different childhoods and contrasting views on love come together and work under the same roof?

One who lost her parents at a young age, and another who has parents but longs for their love.

One believes in true love, while the other believes love doesn't exist.

So what will happen when these two different people work together in a fashion house? How will their relationship transform into love—in fact, into true love?

You all have seen MaNan in college. Here, you'll see what it would be like if our MaNan were in a fashion house. Let's start their journey by looking at their childhoods first.

THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE STORY

Somewhere in Mumbai, a 10-year-old girl is crying while looking at the sky. She lost her parents in a car accident while they were coming back home. Her grandmother, whom she calls Amms, comes over. Amms is the only person she has left in this world to call her own. Amms asks her, "Why are you crying? Do you know where your parents are?" She shakes her head no.

"Okay, Nandu, I will tell you. Look at the sky—do you see the stars?"

"Yes, Amms!"

"See, they are watching you, and if you cry like this, will they be happy? No, right! So stop crying and work towards your dream. Be successful for your parents to make them happy."

"Okay, Amms, I won't cry anymore. I will be successful for them. But for now, will you tell me about Appa and Amma's love story?"

"Of course, Nandu, why not? After all, their love is true love!"

-------------------------------------------

Somewhere else in Mumbai, a so-called mother is telling her 14-year-old son, "Yes, I married your father only for money. Now we've decided not to stay together anymore, but I can't let you go. You are my weapon to use against your father whenever I need something."

"Why, mom, do you do this to dad when he loves you so much?"

"Come on, my son, love doesn't exist. Only money does. And with money, we can buy the world, but not with love, so stop it."

The boy goes into his room and shuts the door. He whispers to himself, "Dad, where are you now? I miss you so much. And mom... no, how could I call her that? That greedy woman married you only for money, and she doesn't love you or me." Then he tells himself, "Manik, remember one thing—that love doesn't exist." Right now, I need my friends who can give me peace.

That's how Nandini and Manik's childhoods are. Nandini believes in true love because of her parents' love story, while Manik doesn't believe love exists because of his parents' complicated life story. This basically shows how parents influence their children's lives, but things can change depending on what destiny has planned.
