ON A ROAD - NEAR JUNGLE

Nandini: Manik, why don’t you call someone to help us?

Manik: I would love to, but there is no network here.

Nandini: What, no network? Then how will I inform Amms that I will only reach home tomorrow morning?

Manik: Relax! Okay, let’s walk further and see whether we get a network there or not.

Nandini: Okay.

They walk in the jungle for around 20 minutes...

Manik: Nandini, it looks like there’s no network in this whole area.

Nandini: But Amms will get worried if I don’t inform her.

Manik: Acha, why only Amms? Won’t your parents get worried?

Nandini: Why will they get worried when they are always with me?

Manik: Always with you?

Nandini: Yeah! Look up in the sky. Do you see those stars?

Manik: Yes!

Nandini: See, they are always with me! (She says happily!)

Manik gets emotional with that as he never thought that the parents that Nandini wants to make happy and proud are actually no longer alive.

Manik: I am sorry, Nandini. I didn’t know that...

Nandini: No, that’s alright, Manik. Actually, my parents passed away in a car accident when I was 10, and after that, my Amms took care of me and loved me so much that I didn’t miss my parents much, but yes, I need to be successful for them.

Manik: I am sure that your parents are already happy and proud to have you as their daughter.

With that, Nandini sits under a tree, and Manik sits beside her. Nandini sees a heart-shaped mark and names written on it on the tree, and then she starts to talk about her parents’ love story.

Nandini: Actually, my parents loved each other since their school days, and then after college, they got married. My Amms always says that their love was true love, as when they were alive, they were always together and even left the world together, as nothing could separate them.

Manik: True love?

Nandini: Yes, true love!

Manik: Do you really believe that such love exists?

Nandini: Of course it exists, like my parents’ love story. What about your parents’ love story, Manik?

Manik: You know what, actually, because of them, I don’t believe in such love.

Nandini: Why, what happened?

Manik: My mom married my dad only for money, and when I was 14 years old, they got divorced. After that, my dad went overseas, and he got busy with work there. My mom married another guy for money five years ago, and I am sure she is happy with her new life now.

Nandini: I am sorry, Manik. I know your parents’ complicated life must have hurt you so much, right?

Manik: At first, it was so painful, but with time, I got used to it.

Nandini: But, Manik, just because your parents’ life didn’t have love, that doesn’t mean love doesn’t exist.

Manik: I hope so.

Nandini: Believe me, one day there will be one girl who will only love you for what you are, not your money, and that day you will realize that true love does exist.
