'The engagement party'

As I drive to Troian's house I kept my mind clear. I don't think about all the negative things that I thought of when I was driving home from work. I just keep my mind pure. I don't let anything drown in. "Let's stay happy for Troian okay Keegan?" I said to myself.
10 minutes later and I was at Troian and Patrick's house.
I knocked on the door and the most beautiful girl opened it. She had this light blue dress on and it looked perfect. Her hair was curled at the ends. "Keegan hey" she smiled as she pulls me into a hug. "You look very handsome" She whispered in my ear and then chuckled pulling away from our hug.

Troian's POV
I heard a knock on the door. That must be the girls. I went downstairs to open and saw Keegan standing there. I didn't know why but I was really glad he was here. He's my guy best friend and every girl needs one of those. "Keegan hey" I smile as I hug him. I know this might sound crazy but I also love the smell of Keegan he's so.... Keegan. "You look very handsome" I whisper into his ear and then chuckle. Keegan has always been there for me. It makes me so happy to have him by my side. "He's just perfect." oh my god. I quickly look at Keegan. "Did I say that out loud?.." I looked embarrassed. "Yes you did, but I don't know who you meant me or Patrick" He whispers into my ear and then walks inside smirking.

Everyone arrives and we all have a good time. I keep seeing Keegan glance over at me while he's talking to Ian and Lucy. Did I mention 'Lucian' is real by the way? Oh never mind. I just want to focus on my engagement party. I see Patrick walking up to the front and clink his glass to get everyone's attention. I smile at him. "Excuse me, could I get your attention please?" I heard him say. Everyone turned to look at Patrick. "I'm gonna need you Troian for this" he chuckled and smiles my way. "I'm coming I'm coming" I smile as I walk up to him and he puts his arm around my waist. "I'm gonna be marrying this woman in 2 months, wow she's going to be such hard work. I'm definitely not looking forward to it" Patrick says and everyone laughs "Oi" I say chuckling.
"I'm just messing with you, I love you and I can't wait to get married to the most amazing and perfect person ever" He leans down to kiss me and I hear everyone cheering. I smile into the kiss. Nothing can ruin this moment.

Keegan's POV
I hear Patrick wanting everyone's attention so me, Lucy and Ian stop talking and look over. "I'm gonna need you Troian for this" He said. I watched as Troian walked up to Patrick, he hold her close. Very close. He said something like "I'm gonna marry this woman, blah blah blah" and then everyone laughed. I didn't really pay attention until I heard something that just broke me even more. I knew I shouldn't have come. "I'm just messing with you, I love you and I can't wait to get married to the most amazing and perfect person in the world" Patrick said looking deeply into Troian's eyes. He leant down to kiss her and I just I couldn't watch this so I walked out quickly trying not to get noticed by anyone. I walked out their house and sat down near some park on a bench looking down at my hands. "I could have been the one that's in there right now standing next to her if I had just told her sooner." I say quietly to myself as I feel a tear roll down my cheek and onto my hand. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I quickly looked up at who was standing there. Troian.

Troian's POV
After me and Patrick had that cute little kiss we both pulled away smiling. I looked at everyone but it felt like someone was missing. I couldn't see him. Keegan. Where could he have gone? Maybe he went to the bathroom. Or maybe he went home.? Why am I even thinking about him this much. I might go check outside. "Patrick I'll be back in a minute, I'm just gonna get some fresh air." I smile at him. "Okay but don't be long" he winks and then laughs. I roll my eyes and laugh as I walk to the door.

I walk around to look for Keegan but I couldn't seem to find him. Maybe he did go home. I looked down but out the corner of my eye I saw him sitting on a bench. I walked up to him but as his back was facing me he didn't seem me walk. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Keegan?" He turned around. "Oh Troian hi what are you doing out here?" He asks. "Well I was gonna ask you the same thing." I chuckle as I look at his eyes. It looks like he's been crying. I sit down next to him. "So what are you doing out here? And don't lie to me" I say. He sighs and says "it just got too hot in there, I thought I would get some fresh air" He gives me a small smile. "is that really why you're out here because it looks like you've been crying." I say worried. "No..I. something.. hay fever" He eventually says. "Yeah I'm not stupid Keegan, I'm your bestfriend for goodness sake and I know you've not got hay fever. Now tell me what's happened. You know you can tell me anything." I took hold of his hands. "No seriously I'm fine something's really up with my eyes recently. They keep going all red and watery. That's why it looks like I've been crying but I've not" When he says that last part he doesn't make any eye contact. "Let's go back inside, come on you feel really cold, it's freezing out here." "I'm just gonna go home but I enjoyed it, thanks for inviting me and yeah see you tomorrow at work" He says and then smiles. "Yeah see you tomorrow." I say and pull him into a long and tight hug. He mumbles something into my hair but I couldn't hear it. I give him a small kiss on his cheek. "Bye Keegan." I smile. "Bye Troian." He smiles back at me and with that he gets in his truck and drives off. "I'll miss him" I say randomly aloud. Why am I saying things like this? No. Troian. You are getting married to Patrick. Stop with Keegan. You are not falling for Keegan Allen.
