Mistakes - Treegan

'How did this happen?

"Troian I have been waiting so long to see you."
"I've been so worried." I say.
"I know Keegan, I just don't know what happened, I was driving and -" after that she says no more and she starts coughing up blood.
"Troian?!?"
She doesn't stop.
"NURSE!" I shout.
A load of doctors enter the room and I'm asked to step outside.
I watch from the window.
Her pulse goes dead.
That sound.
The sound I thought I would never hear.
That long beep.
Not beep. beep. beep.
Just a long sound.
I start screaming from the window that she has to be okay.
I feel an arm drag me away from the window and into the waiting room.
I don't say anything.
I just start crying.
I don't hear anything.
I block every sound out.

A couple of hours later;
I know I fell asleep because someone keeps saying my name and shaking me. Suddenly I wake up and look around.
"Oh good you're finally awake." I hear someone say.
I look at the person who says it and it's Ian, Lucy, Shay, Ashley, Sasha and Tyler sitting next to me.
Then I remember what happened and I quickly shoot up from my seat.
"Where's Troian?" I say with panic in my voice.
"She's in her room sleeping, she had some severe bleeding inside her head. But don't worry, they saved her Keegan, she's okay." Lucy says.
"well kinda...." she says under her breath after.
"We thought you should go inside first..." I hear Shay say.
I look all of them and say;
"Okay."
And with that I walk into her room slowly.
She's laying there with her eyes opened. She turns her head and pulls a small smile at me."
"Can I ask who you are?" She questions.
I chuckle and respond. "I'm Keegan.. Your boyfriend?" I keep chuckling because I know she's playing with me.
"Wait what? I have a boyfriend ?" She looks at me in confusion.
"Uhm yeah and that's me." I say.
"Come on Troian, stop messing around. You know it's me." I smile.
"Wait my names Troian? I thought it was Spencer or something." She says in her sweet voice.
"No Spencer is your on screen name for the show you work for? The show we both work for?" I say.
"I don't really remember anything but you know your face looks kinda familiar. You look like a Toby." Troian says and then laughs gently.
"I'll be right back okay?" I say and with that I walk out the room.
"Why can't Troian remember anything?!!!" I shout in anger and frustration.
"We wanted to tell you Keegan but we didn't know how you would react.." Ian says quietly.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME!" I yell.
"You should have." I walk out the hospital into the cold air.
"How did this happen?" I say.
I've lost her forever.
Tears fall on to the ground without me realising.

3 weeks later;
Still Keegan's POV (sorry I'll change the POV soon!!)
Troian's memory is improving but really slowly. She knows who I am now and I've been telling her all about our past together and everything else.
Everyone has been helping me get Troian her memory back but I feel like she won't ever be the same again. That hurts me. So so much.
But it's kinda cute because sometimes she gets my name wrong. Like the other day;
(Italics mean flashbacks)
"What are we doing today Toby?" Troian asks me.
I chuckle and she says again; "Sorry I meant Keegan. You know how I still get those names mixed up" She laughs softly.
I love her laughs. They make me smile so much.
How much has changed over these weeks is crazy.
I really wish getting Troian her memory back would be quicker and easier but I still love her to pieces. She's my everything. No matter what happens.

Me and Troian are about to take a walk around the park. She says this makes her calm and peaceful.
"Troian can I ask you something?" I look at her and link our hands as we walk.
"Yeah sure anything Keegs." She squeezes my hand.
The nickname makes me smile because I haven't told her about our nicknames  but somehow, just somehow she remembers.. I keep smiling at the fact.
"What's your favourite thing about what I've told you about our past together?" I question.
"That we were lovers on screen and off screen. And we still are now." She gives me a soft smile.
"I love you Keegan. Whatever bad things happened to me didn't change that. I always knew one thing. And that was I'll always be in love with you."
"I'll always love you too" I lean in and kiss her while putting my hands on her cheeks.
We pull away smiling. As we walk down the cute little path, my phone starts to ring and it's Lucy. Wonder why she's calling.
"Hey Luce what's up?" I say picking up.
"uhm hi Keegan.. uhm.. I.. have something to tell you..." She says and I can hear the nervousness in her voice.
"Okay I'll come round in 2 minutes, is everything okay?" I ask.
"uhm yea.. everything's fine.. just come quickly please.."
"Okay I'll be there soon." I hang up and look at Troian.
"Everything okay?" She asks me.
"Yeah it's just Lucy she sounded really worried about something and she wants us to go over." I say.
"come on then, let's go" Troian says and we head round to Lucy's.

Once we arrive I knock on the door and a red, puffy eyed Lucy slowly opens the door.
"Hi guys.."
"Come on in.."
She opens the door wider and we walk in.
"What's happened Lucy?! why are you crying?" I go over and hug her tight.
"Well uhm the thing is...."
"I was pregnant.." she says her eyes stuck to the floor.
"That's amazi- wait what do you mean "was" why did you use the past tense?" I ask gently.
"Because I lost the baby.."  She starts crying again.
"Omg Lucy I'm so sorry!" I hug her even tighter.
"How is Ian holding up with this?" I say softly.
"oh that's the thing I wanted to talk about. Well firstly he doesn't know yet and secondly he's not the father..." She trails off.
"Well then who is?" I look at her in confusion.
"You are." Lucy looks up at me straight in the eyes.

DUN DUN DUNNNN. Omg I'm really sorry for leaving you at a cliffhanger. Hehe. I'm really mean oops and I'm so sorry for this awful chapter ah.
