I woke up in a room I had never seen before. It had periwinkle walls, a white and periwinkle rug under my bed, which was periwinkle and white. If you didn't guess, my favorite color is periwinkle. The lamps had a white and periwinkle pattern, same with my pillows and headboard. The floors were dark brown, matching the night stands on either side of my bed. There was a periwinkle couch in the right hand corner with a white bookshelf beside it. There were two doors in the room, one that went to the rest of wherever I was, and another that was probably a bathroom or closet.

I sat up, trying to decide whether or not to get up. After a little fight in my head I came to the decision to get up and figure out where I was. I stood up and went out the door on the left side of the room, which, luckily, was the correct one.

Outside was an orange-y hallway. I turned to my right and started walking. I turned many different ways, probably getting myself more lost. Eventually I found the room that I was in when I first went into the TARDIS. I hadn't realized where i was until I found that room.

I walked further into the room before seeing the Doctor, his back facing me. He was looking at a screen on the console thing.

"Doctor?" I said. He turned around and instantly smiled.

"Astrid! Glad you're up! How are you feeling?" He asked me and clapped his hands together.

"I'm fine. But, uhm, what happened?" He walked over to me, a smile on his face.

"Well, when we jumped out of the ship, trying not to get blown up, you smacked your head on the ground and you were knocked unconscious. But you're okay, I checked." He answered. I nodded and we both walked over to the console. I sat on one of the leather seats and stared at my hands.

"Will you take me back now?" I asked after we had been silent for a little too long.

He furrowed his brows a little. "Yeah, I guess a promise is a promise." He murmured and started pressing buttons and things. He was a lot less jumpy this time.

Once it quit shaking I stood up and walked to the door. I opened it but then turned around. "Thank you. For trying to help I mean. No one knows what I'm going to do so they didn't realize I needed it. So thank you." He smiled a little and nodded. His smile dropped right as I started to turn around though.

I walked out and saw that he parked on the same building as before, and the sunset was only a little further down than before. I walked over to the edge and looked down. It was a pretty long fall, so at least I knew it would kill me.

I was about to jump when the TARDIS door opened. I turned around and the Doctor was standing there.

"You could come with me instead, I mean if you want to." He said nonchalantly. I sighed.

"I told you, I don't want to live anymore. I just want this to end. Don't get me wrong, that was fun, but I still lost the only thing I care about and you can't change that." He put his hands in his pockets and walked over to me.

"But don't you see? There are so many other things to love, to look forward to, to see. You don't have to be sad, you don't have to only care about him. You could care about so many other things too." He said. But I shook my head. He sighed and sat down on the edge of the roof, his feet dangling from the building.

I sat down beside him and we just stared at the city, watching the sun set and the cars drive by. I don't know how long we stayed there in silence, but by the time he started talking again the sun was already down and the city lights were the only thing letting me see.

"If we weren't in the city you would be able to see the Big Dipper over there, and the Little Dipper would be right there." He broke the silence and pointed to where the consolations would be.

"I've never really seen the stars. The lights always keep me from being able to look at them. Some of my friends went to collage somewhere that wasn't in the city and they send me pictures, but it isn't the same." He looked at me and then smiled.

"Would you like me to show you the stars? I could show you the prettiest spot I know. It's gorgeous." He asked me. I smiled and didn't even realize it until we were already in the TARDIS and he was dancing around the console.

This was the first time I've been happy, like truly happy, since the accident. Don't get me wrong, the field of daisies was okay, but I wasn't completely happy.

The TARDIS quit shaking and he walked over to the doors, motioning for me to come over, so I did. I peeked through the doors and saw the sparkling stars surrounding us. I opened them completely and just stared out, amazed by the beauty that I had the fortune to see.

He stood beside me and we watched. After a couple minutes I sat down and dangled my feet off the edge like on the rooftop. The Doctor followed and sat down beside me, staring at the amazing sight in front of us.

"Thank you." I whispered. He looked at me and smiled.

"You're very welcome, Astrid Grove." He replied, staring into my eyes. His eyes were a very pretty green. I love green eyes, they were so much prettier than my boring blue ones. Mine were a very basic blue, nothing pretty or special about them. But his, his were gorgeous.

"What?" I asked after he kept staring at me.

"I just can't believe that something so beautiful could be so broken." He said. I smiled before looking back at the stars.

"I'm not the only broken one here." I replied. I looked back at him. "I can see it in your eyes, in the way you talk, I can see it because I understand. I can tell that you try to hide it, that you want the world to think you are invincible and can never be broken, but the truth is, everyone can have a broken heart, alien or not." He just stared at me, a slight smile on his face but his eyebrows furrowed a little.

"How?" Was all he could say, but I didn't answer. I just turned back to the view and stared, a faint smile still on my face.
