''What the hell just happened?!''

Kestrel's face showed pure shock as she shouted those words. They spilled off her mouth like they were talking about death itself. Kate slouched down, panting roughly. ''Don't ask me!'' She hissed tiredly. Steel's face only showed fear, sweat ran down his cheek. ''This is like-super paranormal! Even more than Jake, we should like tell the cops or-''

''They'd never believe three kids.''

''Pre-teens.'' Kate corrected.

Kestrel glared at her brother, standing upright. ''Fine, than what do we do?!''

''Never go back there again.''

They all nodded in agreement.

Later that night, Kate had decided to google this 'red eyes' business. She typed 'google.com' into the web-browser. Than typed 'red eyes and shadow-creatures'. A few pictures of red eyes came up, along with shadows. Than she saw something unusual.

It was a Zodiac.

The zodiac was in a cube-like shape, colors surrounding it. In the middle there was 'RED EYES' written in blood. She gazed at the images name. 'Zodiac found in cave off of Noir City, Cats eye. Cats eye was her state. There was a zodiac somewhere near her state. She narrowed her eyes. Looking at the colors on the zodiac.

Red.

Dark green.

Dark blue.

Sky blue.

Diamond.

White.

Gray.

Black.

Amber.

Red Jade.

A yellow-black hex color.

Gold.

Silver.

Violet.

Light amber.

Teal.

To Kate, it was just a square color wheel of some sort. But it was so much more that it seemed. She sighed aloud, saving the image to her computer for later. Than she went back to the 'all' tab, spotting an website called 'the colored zodiac theory' she clicked it and read what it said.

'The colored zodiac is a vague mystery to us now, but science says differently. There was an underground cave under neither of the zodiacs cave, it showed cave-paintings of all these colors with human-like forms. They had animal-like features that seemed like every  Felidae or Canidae species. More and more studies have grown around this zodiac but none seem to undercover its true mystery.'

Kate decided not to read anymore. All she wanted to know was about the shadow-creatures she had seen before. But she guessed google didn't have that. So she just went back to what she normally did on the computer. Play video games or watch Youtube videos.

The next day was Monday, so back to school it was. Kate stood at the bus stop with Brendan and Jake, humming a tune to herself. The bus rumbled over to them, haulting to a stop. The three pre-teens climbed in. Sitting down with their companions. Dawn and Alex had odd looks on their faces. ''So, what happened with the shadow-creatures? Like Kestrel and Steel said.'' He motioned to the two. ''Didn't they tell you the story, I'd rather not re-live it.'' Kate spat, Brendan glancing over. ''What?! You got attacked?! Were they demons?!'' For a second, Alex got a hurt look on his face. Kate shrugged. ''I don't think so. They didn't seem like demons.'' Alex sighed in relief. Kestrel started to explain the whole predicament. Her hands motioning along with the story. Kate glanced over at Steel, his eyes narrowed in affection as Jake nodded at her words. She snorted loudly and kicked Steel's foot, he cringed and looked away instantly.
