Sounds of footsteps could be heard.

He smiled, knowing that he would see her again.

~Click... Clack...~

She smiled, entering into the building, as other people turned to look at her. She wore a bright smile, something that hasn't been genuinely real in a long time. Despite the fang marks on her neck... she still smiled.

And for the first time...

...He smiled ,too.

*Flash Back*

"A-Ayato..."

The young boy's eyes widened as he saw a hand reach out for him. He was slowly sinking, his tears blending in with the river's water. His waist was covered in the river's flowing stream, but his eyes were already leaking. Memories were crawling down his pale cheeks.

"Y-Y/n!? Y/N?!? SAVE ME! PLEASE! I... DONT.. want to.. die."

The young girl's eyes where wet with despair, as she tried to pull him up into the surface. Her dress was getting messed up ,but she didn't care.

She just had to save him.

"Ayato-o..." she dipped into the water and swam towards him. He reached for her hand, pulling her underneath with him into the darkness of the river.

They looked at each other. Her hair was flowing due to the water. His eyes were wide with traumatization. He pulled her into a hug and squeezed her tight. She grabbed his hand, breaking contact, and swam upwards. He watched as the light came closer in sight ,and kicked his legs towards the glowing atmosphere.

Almost there.

She pulled him up and smashed her lips against his. His body stopped moving. Her lips opened his mouth and sucked the most oxygen she could, considering that mortals needed more oxygen then vampires. He felt his whole body tension as she gave one last kick and brought them to the atmosphere.

The blinding light clouded their eyes...

*Flashback End*

His smile widened as she walked down the aisle. Her dress was still messy. Her h/c hair was flowing behind her. She looked at Ayato and time seemed to stop for them. His eyes widened as he imagined a little girl, looking at him with sadness as she reached a hand out for him. She came closer and stepped into platform, eyes still connected.

Time seemed to stop for them as they looked at each other with memories escaping from thier eyes and crawling down their cheeks. They smiled at each other. Ayato leaned in to hug her, squeezing her tight. Nothing else seemed to matter at that moment.

It felt like eternity that she had stayed in his arms.

But she pulled away...

"I do..."

"I now present you ~ Husband and wife."

The girl and the boy smiled as their guests stood up and clapped. He looked at her and crashed his lips with hers in a longing kiss. His tongue entered her mouth, sucking blood from her own tongue. Her eyes widened in happiness.

They were now married...

The sunlight beamed as the light shined into their eyes.

The young girl genuinely smiled as she played with the toy ring that the boy had given her. He sat right next to her and looked at the ring she was playing with. His big, green eyes filled with sadness , because he couldn't give her a real ring. She turned to him and smiled. He looked at her with amazment as she claimed to be ore-sama's and that she would treasure the ring forever.

Little did they know that she wore it proudly as his wife from that day on...

They stared at the sunset as they heard the tears and echos that rang in their ears from the river.

Then... a light shined into their eyes.

"Your's Truly loves you... Y/n."

Be proud.
