I held Lucy's hand protectively as we walked away from the fair, rage burning my face.
"I'm sorry...I ruined today" lucy whispered, her hair hanging around her face.
My face softened.
"It wasn't your fault" I replied softly.
"Yeah! Don't worry about it...how about we go get some ice cream?" Gray volunteered.
"Can we eat strawberry cake as well???" Erza said excitedly.
"Yeah! Juvia loves ice cream!" Juvia replied.
"Is there fish ice cream?" Happy asked.
"I don't know maybe" I said grinning.
"Ok then let's go!" Lucy said.
I'm glad she's cheered up. She always looks nicer when she is smiling.
When we finally got to the closest ice cream shop, we decided to all have a mega gigantic chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. However erza decided to stick to her beloved strawberry cake.
"I'm going to take the first bite!" I decided.
"No flame head you always go first! I'm going to take the first bite." Gray said.
"Shut up! I am going to take the first bite!" I said angrily.
"You wanna go?" Gray asked.
"Yeah" I replied.
We both started fighting sending ice and fire everywhere.
"Guys please stop! Let's enjoy our ice cream! Its melting already!" Lucy protested.
Suddenly the worst thing happened.
I pushed gray into erza's cake.
"M-my st-trawberrg c-cake!" Erza mumbled.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! We will buy you another one!" I and gray said in unison.
"You destroyed my cake! MY CAKE!!!!!" erza gave us her death glare which made us nearly wee our pants.
I could sense a deadly aura coming from and I knew that I and gray were about to die.
"Erza...please! Leave them alone! They both will buy you any number of strawberry cakes you want. Just let's enjoy our outing, shall we?"
"Fine, get me three more strawberry cakes" erza ordered me and gray.
Phew saved by lucy. I shot lucy a grin before I went and ordered three more strawberry cakes.
(1 hour skip)
"Bye guys! See you at the guild tomorrow!" Lucy waved.
"Bye!!! Juvia and gray sama will walk home together!" Juvia insisted.
"Alright. How about we go on a job tomorrow. Its been a long time! Just the five of us!" Gray said.
"Hey you forgot me!" Happy complained.
"Oh yeah" gray said.
"Natsuuuuu! Gray is being mean to me!!!"
"Good idea gray! I'm heading home now! Bye!" Erza said.
I went home with happy flying above me.
As I went to bed, I tossed and turned. I couldn't sleep. Finally I did.
(Natsu's dream)
Sting: I killed lucy
Natsu: u didn't!
Sting : I did! Look! *shows Lucy's dead body*
Natsu: no!!!!! Luce!!!! You can't leave me!!!! Luce please come back!!!!
Sting: *laughs*
(End of dream)
I woke up with a start. Lucy...is she ok? What if she is in trouble?
I put on my clothes and silently opened my door. I glanced at happy who was snoring probably dreaming about fish.
I walked towards Lucy's house and when I was finally there I jumped up to her window.
"Lucy?"
I could see her sleeping in her bed. I sat in her bed and stared at her. She was ok...
"Natsu?" She said one eye opening." What are you doing here?"
"Um I well uh...I had a bad dream" I replied.
"What did you dream about?" Lucy asked sitting up.
"Well sting killed you and I wasn't able to save you."
"Natsu. I will never leave you. And Aldo I know that you will always be there to protect me"
I smiled at her.
"Thanks"
"Do you want to come and sleep with me?" Lucy asked.
I was waiting for her to ask me that. I nodded.
"Come on then" lucy said.
I got into her bed beside her while she held me tightly and we slept.
