It was a day like any other day in the hole. Another boring, monotonous day. But nevertheless, that morning when the spotlight woke you up as usual, you couldn't help but feel today was different than the others.

You sat on your bed lazily, your gaze going across the room. Loki was in the cell next to you, obviously, and at this time of the day he usually laid on his bed, throwing you a smart ass remark as soon as you woke up. But not today.

That morning, he was sitting against the wall of his cell, thoughtfully drifting off in his mind. He didn't even realized you were awake just yet, making you wonder what the hell was going on.

"Everything alright there?" you called out to him, a puzzled look in your eyes.

He instantly got drawn out of his thoughts, turning his head in your direction.

"Oh, you're awake darling." he grinned. "Slept well?"

There. Back at his usual self.

"You looked pretty lost here." you told him, still confused. "What happened?"
"Oh, nothing worth mentioning. I was just daydreaming."
"About?"
"You know, the usual. Freedom, for most parts."

You nodded, contented with his answer. But you couldn't help but worry a bit, and in this place, there was nothing you could do. If only there wasn't a forcefield in between the two of you...

Months had passed since your "disguised love confession", as you called it. You and Loki were together, even if it didn't change much to the way you talked to each other. It surely was hard to maintain a relationship through a layer of glass, without ever being able to see each other for real. But you refused to give up, knowing that a day you would live your freedom once again.

Smiling at the thought, you stood up and hurried to the glass between your cells, sitting right next to it. It was usually the place where you two held conversations, as the field had the ability to block out some sounds. More than before, when you thought about it...

"Hey (Y/n)?" Loki asked, turning his head to face you.
"Yes? What is it?"
"Today, we're getting out of here." he announced.

You didn't know how to react at first: his face was serious as hell, and he didn't look like he was joking. Normally, you would've laughed, but he was so weird today that you kept your mouth shut, perplexed by his talk.

"What do you mean?" you finally asked.
"You heard me, right? I told you, I'm getting you out. We're leaving."
"But Loki, how? We've been stuck here for months! If you knew how to get out, wouldn't have been a better idea to tell me before?"
"Just, trust me, okay?"
