We make it to the hospital in about twenty minutes. A nurse is quick to put me in a wheelchair and take me back to a room, Paige comes with me while Alicia and Mercedes call Eric and others. I lie down on the reclined chair/bed as the nurse lifts up my hoodie and begins to touch my lower abdomen.
She presses down gently and a surge of pain forces me to slightly jump. "How long have you been experiencing these pains Miss. Demarco?" She asks and turns on the sonogram machine as I grab Paige's hand and tightly squeeze it, "They started this morning, but they've gotten really bad." I reply as she squeezes a cold gel onto my stomach.
She grabs the sonogram machine and turns it on, rubbing the one thing along the line of gel. She puts it on a certain part of my stomach before looking over at the monitor, I close my eyes as Paige rubs my hand and the nurse continues to move the thing around on my stomach.
A few more moments of silence pass before the nurse breaks it, "I'm sorry Miss. Demarco, but there's no heartbeat. I'll get the doctor in here as soon as possible." She says and my eyes open as I look Paige in the eye. "Oh Addi.." She says softly as I begin to cry, the nurse cleans the stuff off the machine and my stomach before walking out of the room.
"There was a teeny tiny little baby in me, that I didn't even know about, and now I've lost it." I sob as Paige stands up and hugs me. The door opens again and reveals Alicia, Mercedes and a giant group of people in the hallway behind them. "Aw angel." Alicia frowns as they all start to hug me and rub my back as I silently cry.
"Eric's on his way right now, almost all of the other divas are here, even Charlotte and Stephanie. A few of the guys are here and let's say you're gonna have a lot of visitors." Mercedes says and the door opens again revealing the doctor, "Hello Miss. Demarco, I would like to give you my condolences on your loss. I know it's hard, so we're gonna keep you over night to make sure everything is okay and I would advise you to stay away from wrestling for a little while until you're physically and mentally okay." He says and I nod, tears of mascara running down my face.
"How long should she stay away from wrestling?" Alicia asks as Paige kisses the top of my head, "2 or 3 weeks at the most, a month if something else goes wrong." He replies as the same nurse comes in with a wheelchair. "Okay, t-thank you." I sniffle and with the help of Alicia and Mercedes, I stand up and they sit me down in the wheelchair.
I put my hood up over my head and the nurse wheels me out into the hallway, revealing multiple WWE divas and superstars. The divas I see are Brie, Nikki, Eva, Charlotte, Natalya, and Stephanie. The superstars I see are Tyson Kidd, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and Triple H aka Hunter.
"Adriana! Addi!" A voice shouts from down the hall and I turn around to see Eric sprinting towards me, still wearing all of his ring gear. I close my eyes, tears continuing to fall down my cheeks as Eric reaches where I'm at. "I'm here, I'm here princess." He says and leans down to me, wrapping his sweaty arms around me.
"I'm sorry to break up the moment, but I've got to get her to the room." The nurse says and Eric let's go of me before grabbing my hand as she continues to wheel me towards the room. Eric pushes open the door to the room and the nurse wheels me over to the bed, "Baby, I think Alicia grabbed me a bag of clothes. Can you go see if she did?" I ask and squeeze Eric's hand as the nurse leads me over to the bed.
"Of course." He says and smiles at me, tears in his eyes, before walking back out into the hallway. The nurse puts a clip on my finger to monitor my heart rate, then she places an IV in my arm which has some kind of medicine to help the pain in it.
"Try to get some sleep tonight, if your tests are good tomorrow then you'll get to leave." She smiles and puts her hand on top of mine before walking out, I stand up and stretch as the door opens and Brie, Nikki, Stephanie, Natalya, Eva and Charlotte walk in.
"Hi guys." I smile softly and hug them all, even Charlotte. "I know I haven't been the nicest and right now I am gonna own up to that, I feel terrible for everything I've done to you and Eric. I want to apologize." Charlotte says and I look at her sincerely.
"I accept your apology, we've never had a good friendship and it's good to clear the air." I say and hug her again as Stephanie wipes away her tears, "Well, the doctor told me I'm out for 2 to 3 weeks." I say and pull away from Charlotte as Brie sniffles and hugs me again. I hug her back and try not to break out into tears, "Okay, question. How about you take off until July 25th, so that you make your return in your hometown on the day you fight Charlotte for the championship?" Stephanie asks and I look up at her.
"That's a great idea." I say and Eric walks into the room holding my grey and pink duffle bag, "Well, we'll all be in later before we leave tomorrow." Nikki says and hugs me tightly before they all walk out of room. "Did you win?" I ask and sit down on the hospital bed.
"Not really, the Vaudevillians came out halfway through our match and it kinda screwed everything up." He says and rubs his eyes. "I'm sorry." I say as he sits down beside me and wraps his arms around me, "I love you so much Adriana." He smiles slightly as I rub his arm, his head against my shoulder.
"I love you too Eric." I say and he puts his hand on my stomach, "I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner." He says as he rubs my stomach. "It's fine babe, you were in the middle of a match you couldn't leave." I say and tears begin to form in my eyes as he traces letters on my stomach with his finger.
"My comeback match is gonna be when we go home." I say as Eric nods and continued to trace letters with his finger, "That's great princess." He says and I look at him. I looked at the strongest man I know crying, tears were falling from his eyes and I knew right then and there that he knew my pain.
It's gonna be one long, strenuous, stressing, and grueling month. I'm coming back for that championship, I'm coming back to make my family and hometown even more proud, and I'm coming back for me.
