A black velvet box sits in Dean's hand as he gets on one knee, my jaw drops and I let go of Giulia's hand as everyone gathers around. "Adriana. This is a bit uncalled for, and I was going to do it later but I just couldn't wait. Adriana, I love you and words can't even begin to explain how happy I am with you back in my life. We were young and dumb when we first met, but we both knew that we'd last forever. When I asked you to marry me, I wanted to make you the happiest girl alive and I wanted to show you off like a diamond, you are the best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm so in love with you and I hope you know that, so Adriana, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife again?" He asks with a tear in his eye, before opening the small box.
I put my hand over my mouth and nod my head as he wipes his eyes and stands up, "Yes, a thousand times yes." I say as he grabs the beautiful diamond ring and slips it on my finger. I admire it for a second before bursting out into tears and hugging him, I cry into his shoulder as memories of our first engagement and wedding flood over me. I remember my dress, his suit, my parents and siblings crying as I said my vows, him and I crying as we slipped the rings on each other's fingers, and dancing with him thinking that we'd be together forever. Everyone claps as pictures are taken and I pull back from the hug, looking him in the face as tears stream down my face. "I love you." I smile as he wipes away my tears, "I love you too." He smiles back at me before planting a gentle kiss on my lips.
I wipe my eyes as he pulls away from me and rubs my back, Eric and Liv come up to us as Dean and Eric exchange a slight nod and Liv hugs me. "Aw Adriana, congrats." She smiles as I hug her back and smile, "Thanks Liv." I reply and pull back from her as Eric runs a hand through his hair and chuckles at me.
"Thank you for coming, it means a lot." I say as he nods and shrugs, "Anything for you Adds." He smiles before opening his arms. I shake my head slightly before tightly hugging him, "Congratulations, I'm glad you guys are happy." He whispers in my ear as I smile even wider.
"Thanks Eric, thank you." I reply before pulling away from him as my mom grabs my hand, "Your brother is about to make a toast to Nico." She smiles and pulls me over to Dean and the rest of my family. My brother Antonio steps up onto the stage as the crowd stares at him, "Hello, I'm Antonio. Nico's twin and Adriana and Marco's younger pain in the ass brother." He chuckles as I wrap my arms around Dean.
"I wanna congratulate my twin on accomplishing his childhood dream, when we were 10 years old Nic's would always be in the kitchen with ma and Addi. He always strived to be the best he could be, and I'm personally so proud of you bro. Without him I would have never pursued a career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, I would have never proposed to my world Alicia, and Addi and Marco would probably be the lonely older twins." He laughs as the crowd laughs with him.
"So congratulations Nico, and congratulations to Addi for her engagement as well." Antonio smiles widely as I blow him a kiss and wave. "Now let's do what we came here to do! Eat good food, drink, party and have fun!" He yells into the mic as everyone claps, Nico and Antonio hug as I kiss Dean's cheek. "I love you." I smile at him as he brushes a stray piece of hair out of my face, "I love you too Addi." He smiles and kisses me.
I kiss him back, placing both of my hands on the back of his neck. This is where I wanna stay forever, right here in my mans arms. He makes me feel safe, his hugs always made me feel protected and sometimes I miss them when we're not together. At our wedding, Dean's arms stayed tightly wrapped around my waist, his hands along my lower back as I placed my head against his bulky shoulders. We slow danced under dull lights as our friends and families watched us with tears in their eyes, he would occasionally trip on the train of my dress but we'd always play it off somehow.
"Angel?" A soothing voice asks I wipe my eyes. "Sorry honey, I was thinking about-" I say as Dean interrupts me, "Our wedding day?" He asks as I nod. "Let's go get some fresh air, I'm sure your brother will understand." He says as we walk out onto the lonely deck over looking the beach, I take a deep breath and close my eyes, letting a few tears slip down my cheeks. "I don't wanna mess up again." I whisper and Dean looks at me, "I don't want to lose you ever again Dean." I repeat as he grabs both of my hands.
"Addi, you didn't mess up anything the first time. It was my fault, I ruined what we had." He says, holding both of my hands in his as I avoid looking him in the eye. "Adriana, look at me." He says and I shake my head, "Please." He begs and I turn to look at him. "I love you, and I'm never gonna lose you again." He says and kisses my hands, "I love you too." I smile and throw my arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.
The brisk ocean breeze hitting our skin as he slightly picks me up off my feet and hugs me back.
