The girl with black and purple hair sat in her bed. She hummed to herself, rocked herself, and played with her fingers while staring out the small window where the rain poured. The smell of disinfectants, the white bed, the flowers on the counter, the empty room, the rails next to her bed, and the bag of pills next to a cup of water filled her room. She was at the hospital.

This girl was Ziska. She was an 18 year old girl with a younger sister named Amanda for love. Her mother worked in a publishing company and her husband had died when Ziska was 14. Ziska was diagnosed with a heart disease not long ago. Ever since then, she's acted like a truant.

ZISKA: "Ahhhh, i'm so bored!" I told myself as i got up from my bed and strolled over to the window. The rain slammed into the window like it wanted me to open the window. In response, i opened the window, letting the thunder's roar into my room, the wind blow in, the rain pouring into me, and then the sound of the nurse opening my door.

"Ziska! How many times have i told you not to do these kinds of acts? Your mother would be disappointed if you don't recover from your disease!"

ZISKA:  "I don't know why you even bother to give me hope." I snap at her. "I'm scheduled to die at the end of this year. "

The nurse fell silent at Ziska's true statement. She quickly shut the window and stepped out of Ziska's room awkwardly. Ziska threw herself on the bed with a groan while holding in a cry.

EVAN: I tapped my pen on my desk as i thought and thought. No matter how much i tried, i couldn't get that girl out of my head. UHG! SO ANNOYING! I threw my bed into my drawer and next threw myself on the bed. I wonder if i'll ever see her again. She looked so free, i bet she has no restrictions like me. I imagine the image of her freely looking up into the sky from the balcony edge as her hair flew everywhere and she had the deepest eyes. I smiled at the image and stood up. I was going to find her no matter what.

Evan stomped out of his room, called a taxi, and headed towards the hotel where he first saw Ziska. When he arrived there, he went to the front counter and asked for the list of people who signed in on the day before. He found someone in the name "D*ck" and smiled at himself.

EVAN: I laughed. I laughed hard. She actually dared to put her name as D*ck here. I chuckled as i looked into her contact information which was required to stay inside our hotel. Only her number and address was left fortunately. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and punched in her number into my phone. I was finally going to hear her voice. I pressed the call button and waited.

"Hello, this is Jenson Heart hospital." A lady says. Evan stayed silent as he hung up quickly on her.

EVAN: That girl tricked us all. She actually  put an actual hospital number on there! I sighed and copied her address into my phone. She better not have left some weird address. I ran into the taxi and directed him to the address she had left.

When Evan arrived at Ziska's mother's house, he knocked once, twice, and then three times before being questioned by Amanda.

"Who're you?" Amanda demanded to know.

"I'm a friend of your sister." Evan nodded his head, realizing how much Amanda looked just like Ziska. He waited as Amanda stared at him with suspicious eyes.

"My sister doesn't have any friends." Amanda says in reply after a few awkward seconds.

"Amanda, stop being rude." Her mother comes out as she dries her hands with her shirt. She smiles at Evan. "Are you a friend of Ziska?"

EVAN: Ziska...that was her name. A beautiful name. Another for John or Johann. I guess that would be for successful then?  It was so beautiful. I smiled and nodded my head. Ziska's mother was a beauty.

"Let me give Ziska a call and tell her to come home." Ziska's mother says. She gets her phone while inviting Evan into her house. He sits down on the couch as Amanda stares at him.

"So, how did you guys meet?" Amanda asks Evan. Evan looks at her as he thinks.

"S-school....?" He shrugs. Amanda nods her head slowly as she bites her lips. "I'm Evan, nice to meet you."

"I'm Amanda." Amanda politely shakes his head but squeezes his hand tightly with a glare. Evan cringes as he rubs his hand.

After ten minutes, Ziska arrives at her mother's home. Evan's face brightens up as Ziska looks at him weirdly.

ZISKA: "So this is the friend you were talking about?" I look at him with an eyebrow up. This guy was from the hotel the day before. Mom nodded her head with a smile, happy, that i have a "friend". I smiled and nodded my head. "Let's go to my room and talk."

EVAN: "Alright, let's go." I nod my head and follow her to her room. Her room was empty with only a bed, a desk, a few books on an empty shelf, and then only  few clothes left in her closet. It was she didn't even live here. "Why's it so empty?"

ZISKA: "Why not?" I ask. I sit down on the ground as he sits in front of me. He probably doesn't even know i don't even live here and i live in the hospital. "More importantly, why're you here."

EVAN:  "I want to get closer to you." I say boldly. She stares at me without unwavering eyes. She was probably too surprised to make an expression. Me, the son of a great man and woman, wanting to get closer to her.

ZISKA: I stared at him, wondering what would happen if i did get closer to him. Get close, and then die... That wouldn't be a funny joke. "I don't want to."

EVAN: "WHY!" I ask, shocked. "From the first time i saw you, i've been curious about you."

ZISKA: "Curiosity killed the cat." I say with a grin and then a shrug. I have no place to say that though.

EVAN: "But satisfaction brought it back." I say with a grin back. She quietly stared at me, her grin fading away off her face, into a frown. "That...wasn't funny?"

ZISKA: ...If only satisfaction could bring everything back... I don't want to die.....i don't want to disappear. I felt my heart beating hard as i looked down from his face. He faced me on straight with a motivation behind his eyes. His being gave off so much life, unlike me, only showing death in a year. His results in a year...what would they be? He would have learned a lot, seen many people, gained more motivation to move forward into the future, and probably will live for the future. Me?...I'll be dead in a year. With no success, no motivation, even if i did have motivation, it would be stopped with no choice, no friends, no lover to  mourn for me, and no satisfaction. I'll just be a useless form of life than was born to die.

EVAN: I felt warm, happy, and fuzzy. She looked down in silence. I finally found her, i had finally caught her in my grasp. I need her. I took a deep breath of satisfaction as i snapped in front of her face. She looked up at me with a frown. I'm going to keep her, forever.

ZISKA: "What?" I snap at him. "Why do you look so damn happy?" I watch as his eyes deepened into mine with a warm soul.

EVAN: "Nothing, i was just thinking, i finally found you."
