{(Y/n) POV}
The only reason I rented a room at the Bee and Barb that night was because I wasn't in the mood to run anymore after I left the Guild members alone. I sat on the bed I would sleep in, my legs pulled up to my chest and my face buried in my knees. Tears rolled down my cheeks and small sobs escaped my throat as Nero tried to cheer me up by nudging my arm. I looked up with a blurry eyesight and pet the animal on its head. 'Good boy... At least you are faithful to me...' I squeezed my eyes shut and sniffed. I didn't want to shed any tears anymore over Relyn, but when I saw him this afternoon after two years of complete silence, I just couldn't bear it. I never really had been able to officially finish the chapter of Relyn and me when I ran away a year ago. I had been so wrong about him when I first met him...
I stepped through the bushes with a steady tred, my bow in my hand and my breaths short and silent. My eyes searched for a sign of life, I needed food for myself and the tiny wolf pup I found left behind. A small smile crossed my face when I saw movement behind a tree. I couldn't exactly see the animal but if it moves, it's alive. Calmly, I aimed at my target. When I released and the arrow left the bow, I exhaled deeply. The arrow pierced into the tree behind the target. I frowned. How did I miss? The target moved again. I took another arrow and lined up for another shot. 'Hey, don't shoot!' My face became pale and I lowered my weapon. A man appeared from behind the bush with berries in his hand. 'Who are you?' I asked in a state of shock. 'I am Relyn and I mean no harm lass, so please put that bow away.' I blinked a few times and put the arrow back in the quiver. 'Ah, r-right my name is (Y/n).' 'Nice to meet you, (Y/n). Would you like some berries?' He stepped towards me and extended his hand as I held mine up. He smiled at me as his hand lingered above mine. 'How much?' 'Whatever suits you.' He released half a handful and smirked. I took his tall figure in as he turned around to fetch the rest of his berries. He was handsome and strong, his skin tan and his hair black. He wore a red scarf around his neck and a bit of leather armor. His pants were red as well and he had a blue piece of silk around his waist. His entire looks practically screamed he was a Redguard. So did his slightly curved sword that dangled on his hip. Relyn caught me staring and cocked an eyebrow. 'Are you alright lass?' I nodded flustered and ate some of the berries. 'I didn't know there was another hunter in this woods.' Relyn chuckled and put a berry in his mouth. 'Neither did I.' I smiled a bit, looking up at him. He was standing next to me now and was at least two inches taller then me. I couldn't help but notice he was handsome, with a short beard and deep brown eyes. 'Why are you being so nice to me? I nearly killed you for Mara's sake.' Relyn smirked. 'Well, it was just an accident and why would I be so angry with such a pretty lass?' I blushed. 'Erm well...' Relyn held up his hand. 'Don't say anything and just take the compliment.' I giggled and hid my face in the front of my cloak. 'Hey, don't be shy. I like you.' Again I flushed bright red. 'Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't we hunt together?' He shot me a charming smile. Before I could even realize what he said, I had already nodded my head. 'Great. Where will you be staying overnight?' I shrugged. 'Depends on the loot of that day. If it was big, I stay in an inn of my profits. If not, then I just go camping in the woods.' Relyn pursed his lips and nodded. 'Alright, tell you what. I will be waiting for you tomorrow at the gate of Falkreath, aye?' 'Okay, I'll meet you then.' 'See you tomorrow, (Y/n)'
My little breakdown was interrupted by Talen-Jei, one of the barkeepers. He was standing in my doorframe, the usual piece of cloth he carried was clenched tighly in his hand. 'Miss (Y/n), I apologize for invading your privacy but I couldn't help but overhear your crying.' I wiped away my tears and looked up. 'Am I scaring away the guests?' The Argonian male smiled a bit. 'No. In fact, there is someone who asked for you.' My eyes widened, I swung my legs out of bed. 'Does he have red hair and a short beard?' 'Indeed, do I have to tell mister Brynjolf that--' 'Please, tell mister Brynjolf to stop stalking me.' I stood up, pulled up my hood and picked up my fur backpack. 'Miss, where are you going?' I put on my boots and scoffed. 'I am leaving this bloody hellhole of creepy stalking thieves!' I stamped down the stairs, Nero following close behind. 'But miss, you paid us! Let me--' 'Keep it.' I interrupted him a second time, ignoring Brynjolf who stepped forward to speak to me.' I pushed open the doors, fighting the new upcoming tears. Nero walked close behind me, his big wolf eyes looking at his master in a begging way. 'I'm so sorry boy, still no warm bed tonight.' I went through Riftens gates and shivered. I had took just a few steps before I heard the gate open behind me. 'You can drop that little idea of yours, Brynjolf.' 'Not before I know what is going on between you and Relyn!' I spun around, looking him in the eye angrily. 'Listen one more fucking time. I don't want anything to do with your Guild. Have fun with that traitor Relyn and I hope you choke on the gold you'll earn. Now stop stalking me, you fucking creep.' Brynjolf exhaled, his eyes showing disappointment. 'I was just hoping that you would... You are better than anyone on our Guild, you could help our entire organization survive. Can't you just give it a try?' I closed my eyes, a silent tear escaping over my cheek. 'The wounds from my relationship with Relyn are too deep. I'm sorry.' I started walking away, but he grabbed my arm again. 'Lass... Please... I will find a way to get rid of Relyn, really.' I let my shoulders fall down and looked at the ground. 'I'm not sure.' 'Don't you worry. I will help you.' I nodded. 'Okay. But first get rid of him before I fully join you and your Guild.' Brynjolf gave me a quick nod. 'How about we meet tomorrow at the market and I'll inform you further on what I am planning on doing, okay?' 'Sure. See you then.' I spun around and walked towards the forest again into a night darker then ever.
