Knocking on Lindsey's room door, Stevie opened it, hearing some mumbled reply. She walked further in, seeing him in the bathroom, brushing his teeth, wearing only his boxers. He looked at her and what was in her hands, as he spat the toothpaste out into the sink and rinsed his mouth.

"What's that?"

"Firstly, good morning."

"Good morning." Lindsey echoed, drying his hands off, reentering the bedroom.

"I brought you breakfast." Stevie stated the obvious, holding the tray.

Smiling, Lindsey sat down on the bed, showing her to do so too and she did, after placing the tray over his lap. "That's very nice of you. Why though?"

"It's our one month anniversary." She said, only with half straight face.

"Oh, is it?" Lindsey raised an eyebrow, digging into his food. "Feels like it happened yesterday."

"Well, of course, when I'm such a fantastic wife to you." Smirking, Stevie lay down by his side, causing him to laugh by what she said. "By the way, I talked to my assistant on the phone. We're going to have to make a few public appearances together."

"Yeah? When? What kind of appearances?"

"There's this party at the end of the week. We'll get more information about others later. But, you know, we'll be expected to be joined at the hip, all that touchy feely, how much I love you and I can't keep my hands away from you stuff."

"Shouldn't be too hard." Lindsey shrugged, offering her a mouthful of scrambled eggs.

"No, thanks."

"Taste it, so I know you haven't poisoned it." Stevie looked at him pointedly, but he only brought the fork closer to her mouth. "Good girl." Lindsey said when she ate it. "Have you looked at any articles about us, though? Was the whole thing worth it?"

"Well, yeah, a couple, mostly right after the wedding, with pictures from it. Not everyone bought it, though. Some have speculated it's bullshit. But do I care?" Stevie asked, then shook her head. "Besides... It did bring us together. I mean, you know."

Giving her a half-smile, Lindsey knew she probably had more to say, but decided not to go on.

Finishing his breakfast, Lindsey put the tray down on the floor, wiping his mouth, before lying back down on his side, facing Stevie. "Thank you for taking such good care of me."

"This is the first time, Linds. And most likely the last!" She chuckled, then noticed his weird expression. "What?"

"What did you just call me?"

"Uh... I don't know. Lindsey?"

Shaking his head, he said. "You called me Linds."

"No, where did you get that from?"

"From you." Wanting to get herself out of this situation, Stevie desperately tried to come up with some sort of explanation or excuse, but Lindsey spoke before her. "I like it." Smiling a little, he moved closer to her, putting one arm around her waist.

Leaning in, he captured her lips softly at first, although, it didn't take long before the kiss grew into a full on make out session, neither of them realizing that he had gotten on top of her, starting to undress her. It registered to her that she had completely forgotten about her restraint only, when his hand dipped lower. She tensed up, breaking the kiss, staring at him.

"I'm done playing games." Lindsey said, sincerely and she could see it in his eyes that he was being honest.

Of course, Stevie wouldn't be herself if she hadn't asked. "So, does this mean I won?"

Rolling his eyes, he replied. "If that makes you feel better, sure." With that he pressed their lips together again, his hand sliding into her panties, as she arched her back feeling his fingers moving against her.

To say he was taking his time would be an understatement. Altering between quicker and slower pace, more or less pressure, judging by her face and body language, somewhat smug about the obvious power he knew he had over her. Her chest began to rise and fall faster, her moans grew deeper and louder, which meant she was getting close, but he didn't want to end it like that, he wanted them to experience it together.

Taking off his boxers, he tossed them on the floor and lay down on top of her again. Bringing her hands up to his face, she looked into his eyes, searching for something in them, she wasn't even sure what. At that moment, she realized that whatever is going to happen between them, it was not going to be just a sex thing...

She took in a sharp breath, as he entered her, staying still for a minute, before starting to thrust slowly. This pent up sexual tension, the teasing wasn't doing either of them any good, both knowing this wasn't going to last, but it didn't really matter. They needed this. They needed this exact moment to explain to them whatever the hell was going on with them. If not words, maybe actions, feelings could.

The sounds coming from her were only adding to his release getting closer. She saw his eyebrows slightly creased, eyes shut tight, as she touched the side of his face with the back of her hand, making him look at her, as she smiled, his expression instantly softening. Lifting her head off the pillow, she kissed him, causing his hold on her to tighten, as he thrust just a few more times, bringing them to a climax.

The two of them were silent, lying together, both deep in their thoughts. They had stepped over that invisible line into something else. What that was, they didn't know yet, but what they did know was that it wasn't going to be the same to what it was a month, a week, a day or even that moment Stevie came into Lindsey's room this morning.

After some time, suddenly, Lindsey started laughing, causing Stevie to ask. "What's so funny?"

Shrugging, he turned his head to her, saying. "Happy one month anniversary."
