Rebecca Clarke nodded absently-mindedly as she jotted down what the stylist was saying about her new fashion line. "...and the lining will be of the finest fur you have ever seen," she concluded with a flourish. "Now I must depart, but I would love to talk to you again," she smiled at Rebecca then walked away. Rebecca sighed contentedly, oh how she loved this job. She was a journalist for the 'Women's Fashions' magazine. She loved to know what the new this or that was going to be that year before it reached the public. Rebecca was being sent to California to meet an exclusive stylist there, her manager had already planned and paid for everything. She was supposed to take a train there and back, stay for seven days, and receive an allowance of 20 dollars! Her manager was also letting her take another train to visit her brother in New York too! She suspected it was because he had a very small infatuation with her.
