Chapter Thirteen - Stephanie Dervish
"Ahhh!" screamed Stephanie at the top of her lungs. Her hair hung limply around her face as she struggled to push her child out of her body.
"Keep pushing, Miss!" encouraged her physician, "I can see it's head!"
A couple hours later, Stephanie sat in her bed holding her newborn son. She had named him Charles after her late husband. Suddenly she felt very ill so she called her physician back in and handed her child off to her maid standing by. 10 minutes later, she was pronounced dead from too much blood loss. But, before she died she had bestowed her child to her most trusted maid.
