You were at a house party that Jack invited you to, and you instantly knew people were going to be drunk off their asses. Not you though, of course.

But hey, they were your friends. So you went.

Jack had a pool in the back yard, you were considering getting in it, but you weren't so sure. One because you were self conscious, and two...well..

You smiled at the sight of Jack, Zack, Rian and your boyfriend Alex shooting each other with water guns. They were such dorks, yet, you loved them.

"Hey, watch the dick, I need that!" Jack shouted. You held in your laughter as they all then took aim at Jack's crotch.

"Whoa, whoa whoa whoa, I surrender!" Jack yelled. His head whipped over to you, and he threw the water gun at you.

You squealed, and moved your hand in front of your face so it wouldn't hit you, and it clattered to the ground.

"Aw come on (y/n), you were supposed to be my hero!" You laughed, shaking your head.

"I don't need to get in the middle of this."

"Au Contraire, you do." Alex started running after you. You quickly put down your soda, and took off running as Zack and Rian laughed, still holding Jack at "Water point".

Alex's arms tried to wrap around you, but you ducked and slid under the table, before quickly running up the stairs.

You hid in one of the first rooms upstairs, and silenced your breathing as Alex's footsteps got louder.

"(Y/N)! Come out wherever you are!" You bit your lip, holding in a laugh. You heard Alex quietly walk past the room you were in, and took the chance, running out.

You ran downstairs, but before you got very far, Alex's arms wrapped around your waist, and he picked you up over his shoulder.

You screamed as he did, both of you laughing.

"Gotcha. Now, that wasn't very nice, so you're in trouble now." He turned around, walking out the door. Your heart skipped a beat in fear, wondering what he was doing.

"L-Lex? W-What are you doing?" You asked, trying not to let your voice shake.

"You're gonna go for a swim." He spoke. You could practically hear the smirk on his face, but you weren't smiling. No, you were terrified.

"Alex, no, please," you started asking. Alex ignored you, still walking with you until he got out the door and out on the patio.

He started swinging you on his shoulder, feigning to almost 'accidentally' throw you in. You started freaking out, tears entering your eyes.

Alex didn't know.

"Alex, stop, put me down!" You started yelling, struggling significantly harder to get out of his grip, regardless if you hit the concrete hard or not. Alex laughed a little, still thinking you were messing around.

"What's the matter, (y/n)? A little water won't hurt you." Rian and Jack looked at you both unsurely, both knowing your secret.

"Alex, maybe you shouldn't-" Jack started to speak up.

"Oh come on, if we can get wet, she can get a little wet too." He started to swing you more, and you started yelling.

"Alex, put me down right now!!" You started to fight a little more aggressively. When he didn't, you snapped, tears streaming down your face. "ALEX, PUT ME DOWN!!" You screamed. The entire party outside looked at you and Alex.

"Alex, put her down!" Rian yelled, walking up and gently grabbing you around your waist, setting you down gently on the ground.

You let out a breath you had been holding and stormed past Alex, wiping the tears on your face that everyone could now see.

"Aw come on (y/n), babe, I was just playin!" Alex called behind you, distressed that you were crying. You didn't care, storming back in the house, but not before you heard Jack talking to Alex.

"Dude, it's okay. She'll be okay, you just scared the living shit out of her, cause she can't swim."

You winced at the words as you sat on the stairs, hiding your face under your hair shamefully. And now Alex knew. You hated that you couldn't swim, its not like you hadn't tried before.

But you just couldn't do it. And one of the people you loved almost throwing you in the water where you had a high possibility of drowning made you feel heartbroken.

An arm wrapped around your shoulder, breaking you out of your thoughts, and the person pulled you into their chest.

"C'mere." Alex's voice spoke, as he hugged you close. You started crying out of relief that you were okay now, instead of almost being thrown in a pool. Alex kissed the top of your head, and closed his eyes. "I'm so sorry, (y/n). I didn't know. I swear to god, I wouldn't have, if-" you shook your head, stopping him.

"I-I know. I'm sorry." Alex leaned close, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.

"No, I'm sorry. I love you so much. I promise I won't do that again." You smiled a tiny bit, leaning against him.

"Okay."

Btw, this is legitimately me, I'd bawl my eyes out if someone did this to me, because I can't swim. Its terrifying.
