11: Family Reunion

"Guys. I think some of us should go out on a supply hunt. We don't have much food, and some of our weapons are shitty, plus I think Kanaya's gonna go crazy without a change of clothes. I volunteer to go out. Does anyone want to join me?" Jane spoke up as we sat around a fire John made.

"Janey no." Roxy hugged her, "You're not going out there."

"Roxy, don't be silly. We have to. I'm not going to be one of those fucking characters in the movies who just sit back and do nothing." She looks at all of you, "So does anyone want to go? We'll leave today before it gets dark."

"I'll go." You nod, taking a drink of water. "It's getting kind of tense in here... I need a breather.." You were telling the truth. You didn't like the tension between Vriska and Aradia. They were constantly glaring at each other.

"I'm going if Jane's going." Roxy hugs her more. "No way am I lettin' you out of my sight.."

"I suppose I'll go to.." Kanaya sighed, "If anything, you all will probably pick something horrible for me to wear.." She laughed before looking to John and Karkat, "You two keep an eye on everyone, and especially those two." She pointed at Vriska and Aradia, "They might try to start something.."

John and Karkat nodded.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go." You stand up and feel The Mayor tug at your leg. He looks up at you with worried eyes. You sigh and kneel down, hugging him. "I'll be alright little dude. I promise I'll come back alive."

He hugs back tightly then let's go. You take turns hugging John and Karkat.
"Don't die asshole." Karkat sighs, "If you do, I'll bring you back from the dead, and kill you."

You laugh, "I won't.."
John hugs you tightly, "Be safe.. Don't do anything stupid."

Jane and Roxy hug Jake. Kanaya hugs Karkat and Vriska, telling her to behave herself.

You all make sure you have your weapons before going out went the coast is clear. Jane leads the way, gripping onto a rusty crowbar. Roxy points up ahead, "Rotter up ahead."

"Rotter?" You raise and eyebrow as Jane goes to beat the shit out of it.

She nodded, "Aradia said that yesterday and I thought it was a fitting name. We can call em' Rotters."

Kanaya nods. "That makes sense.."

Jane kicks the body to the side and keeps leading you all. She stops in front of a store. "Kanaya, here's your stop." Inside was a bunch of clothes on racks and Kanaya's eyes lit up. "I'll only be a moment." She ran over and went inside through the broken window.

You all wait outside for her, but then Roxy goes in to check out some dresses.
You look to Jane, "So... Do you think the girls are fighting back there?"

"They better not be." She huffed, "I have a feeling Jake will stop any drama though.. He's the only one there with a gun, so if shit it's the fan, he'll pull it out to stop them. Maybe wave it around to scare them."

"Heh, John would probably think he'd try shooting them. He's so gullible." You laugh.

Jane smiled, "Yes he is. One year on April Fools Day, me and Dad pranked him so bad.." She giggled, "It was hysterical. There was shaving cream everywhere!"
