I took a sharp breath in, my heart racing to find a way out, find a new plan, a new place. All I wanted was freedom, not even for myself, but the others. My mind kept growing darker, reaching a place where no light was found. A place without change, where all evil remains and the light of the good is snuffed out by the pain and suffering of many. As I closed my eyes one last time, I couldn't help but remember the meaning of my name. I am just a shadow. A shadow of who I was and a shadow of who I was meant to be.
