The United

Chapter 9

"Okay, everyone hold hands. I'm going to bring you to the place." I closed my eyes, focusing on the gateway. I then had Kathleen message Willis to get Jayda, before I was finished with the portal. I looked at the ground, knowing full well that no one else would see the swirling portal that I did. I took Aaron's hand, and he took Kaden's. I waited until everyone was linked together, then I jumped through my portal. Through the void we go....

When we were on the other side, the others collapsed, and Rin and Kathleen didn't look so well. To make matters worse, they weren't recovering as Jayda always did. I soon looked up into the sky and saw Jayda and Willis hovering above the ground. Jayda looked like she was ready to strike. And Willis looked worried.

"What the hell happened?" Jayda said looking directly at me.

"What do you think? Multidimensional geo-leaping." I said so calmly.

"Anyone else I would have struck without a second thought...." Jayda muttered.

"I know..... They just aren't recovering as quickly as you do..." I muttered looking at my feet.

Aaron was the first of them to stand. He walked over to me, and put his arm around me. Steadying himself, and reassuring me everything would be okay.

"It's alright Mar- Shadow.... It's okay.... You didn't mean for this to happen." Aaron said slowly, still feeling sick from the experience, but he kept it together.

"But it isn't.... I hurt all of you... I hurt you Aaron.... How is that okay? It's not okay.... I hurt you.... There is no way I can be okay with that..... " I muttered sadly, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Jayda drop to the ground, followed by Willis. "I'm sorry Aaron.... I should just go...." I muttered, and willed myself to fade into my realm. Much to my surprise, I didn't fade completely. Aaron still held onto me, and pulled me closer to him so he could comfort me.

"Don't go... You are okay... No one except maybe Kathleen blames you for this.... I for one am okay. I am just a little disoriented. But I haven't lost myself." Aaron said with a slight smile, before bending down and kissing me. I heard Jayda gag, and then Willis laughing. I expected that Jayda would attack Aaron soon, but she didn't.  

 I pulled back from Aaron, and looked over at Jayda and Willis just in time to see Willis kissing her, and Jayda punching him in gut. Willis cried out in pain, and Jayda flew into the sky, her face red. 

 Aaron smiled as he walked over to Willis and helped him up. "Nice man. Smooth.... She totally has no idea how you feel now." Aaron said with a cocky smile. 

 "H-hey! You just kissed Shadow! You're one to talk!" Willis said looking furious.

 "Shadow's my girlfriend, and has been, so there is a difference. A major difference." Aaron replied simply, and then pulled me closer to him again.

"Willis, I bet Jayda was just shocked. Maybe she is playing hard to get. I'm sure if you keep at it, she will eventually come around." I said calmly, hoping Jayda wouldn't hear me. 

"I was going to do that anyway." Willis said and jumped into the air, and started flying. He was looking for Jayda and I knew it.

"He is a sucker for pain...." Aaron muttered, and then looked over at Kathleen and Rin who still looked sick, but Kaden got to his feet steadily, and walked over to us.

"Ew Big brother.... Why did you do that?" Kaden said disgust on his face.

"He loves me Kade. He loves you too, and that is why he is helping me raise you." I said trying to explain that Aaron and I were dating to my little brother.
