Bri, I know this is hard, but we will be away for a while. We will return, but we must go, and where we are going, it will be too dangerous for you to come with us. I was going to tell you this in person, but I know you, and you and Keaton both would have insisted to come with us. Your uncle Kaden will watch over you as well as your soon to be Uncle Kana. Please stay safe, this is for the best. We need to keep you safe as our children, whether you are ours by blood or not, we will protect you. And right now, the safest place for you is here. I love you and Keaton, and I promise your mom and I will return soon.
With much love,
Aaron Renalds and Maria Contra

"Do you think this will work?" Aaron asked me calmly reading the letter over again.
"It has to. We can't put them in danger.... I wouldn't be putting you in danger either if I had the choice." I said softly, but Aaron shook his head, and took me in his arms, staring me in the eyes,
"Never say such things. I can't let you be hurt. I won't." he said, pulling me closer.
I felt myself blush, but tried to dismiss it, then gave Aaron a slight smile, biting my lip, before looking up to kiss him. He pulled me even closer to him, surprisingly he was the first to pull back, saying, "We need to give this to Kade." referring to the letter.
"Right. We should go now, before Bri and Keaton get up." I said softly, not expecting a new voice.
"Go where Mom?" Bri said calmly, and curiously.
"Bri... Aaron and I are going to be away for a while..." I started, but Bri cut me off.
"So were are we going?" Bri asked sweetly.
"Aaron and I are going to find my dad.... Your Grandfather." I started again.
"I am coming too mom. You can't expect me to wait. Besides, Jayda trained me. Wasn't she the best fighter here?" Bri smiled at me, slightly angered.
"Jayda is... But What about Keaton? We can't take him, he is only three. You can't hurt him like-" I was cut off again, this time by Keaton.
"I am four today!" Keaton said with the biggest smile he could on his face.
"Bri... Keaton... We can't endanger you like that... You are our children... and we can't endanger you like that..." Aaron said, taking the words right from my mouth.
"You aren't leaving us behind. You know we are shadow steppers. We will just find you." Bri smiled evilly.
"Bri... Please be rational about this! We can't let you or Keaton get...... hurt." I said somewhat worried.
"Then let us come. We will be less likely to hurt when you are watching over us." Bri smirked, knowing that her logic was solid.
I knew Bri would just follow Aaron and I, and Keaton would follow Bri anywhere. They would use their powers to track us, and there is now telling what might find them, if they didn't find us. I knew there wasn't any other way, so I finally sighed. "Fine. But next time we leave, You are going to Jayda to get trained more. I don't want you to get hurt." I said looking into Bri's green eyes.
"That's fine. I wanted to find Jayda anyway." Bri said with a smile, and Keaton began jumping up and down.
"Yay! adventure with mommy!" Keaton squealed.
I will always love his enthusiasm.... Aaron and I lead the way, with Bri and Keaton close behind. I looked over at Aaron who had a slight smile on his face. once we were outside, I began to focus on where I had sensed my fathers spirit. I targeted the spot my mind, and linked hands with Bri and Keaton, who each grabbed one of Aaron's hands....
