Hey Dad, how's everything going?
Okay, I know what you want to hear: "How's mum?".
I'll tell you something, right. You married the greatest mother anyone could ask for.
Mum is fine and thanks to her so am I. I can't tell you how proud I am to bear both your names.
I'll tell you some stories, right.
So we were forced to sell our house in Perfect, right. So she found us a new place and started her own business - though it lasted a while it still failed. We watched repo men take apart our second home practically overnight and we slept in what is basically a shell of a home. Mum was on the verge of crying, but honestly, Ron and I didn't care about losing our home because we had her.
Prior to this in the same house, we lost power because we couldn't afford to pay it. Twice. On top of that we hardly had money to eat anything - we scavenged around the house for coins.
I would hear mom cry thinking she failed us. We weren't too fussed because we have her as our mum and we know everything will be fine.
The two times the power went out it was Loy Kratong and New Years. Telling her that we loved her and watching the fireworks was the best feeling in the world at the time.
Fast forward to our new house (more like a room to be quite honest). Ron lived there for one year and I lived there for two. It was a really crappy place to live but it was all we could afford so to me it was perfect.
Your wife put two of her kids through high school whilst we all lived in a single room. Two high school graduates came from a single room bedroom in the ghetto.
Even when we didn't have enough money to eat, she would let me have dinner so that I wouldn't go hungry.
And now here are the 4 of us. Coming from almost nothing we're making about more than enough to live comfortably and sending money to mum so that she won't have to relive those years.
Did I forget to mention all this happened in two years?
