Hey dad,
I know a lot of these are depressing and generally not fun letters but I just haven't been as happy as I used to be. And I pretended to be happy for a very long time.
It sucks that you're not here anymore but I know you're up there with your parents watching over us. Watching us triumph over challenges and fail at others, but still having that drive to persevere.
