New chapter!! Sorry for the hold up...had a writers' block

Come on. Only a few more minutes till the bell rings indicating lunch.

I wasn't really anxious that the 'emo' in my American Government class would even talk to me never mind follow me. But I was still nervous, how about if I walk out and there might be Andy or the others waiting to walk me to my locker and then to their table? It's tricky to outrun one of them, but all together? I didn't think of how I was supposed to do that.

I kept my eyes fixed at the clock. We were supposed to be reading Chapter 1: The Constitution, but I didn't bother. I could read that at home when I had fewer things to worry about.

Only one more minutes Cass, you can do it, just 60 seconds to run for it, to get to your locker, and have lunch with Dominique. Yeah, that's easy, I could do it. I've done harder things before. Like once I had to hide from my ex who was trying to make up with me. He was after me all over the school for two weeks straight, and he never got close enough to see even the features of my face. And there was that time when me, Kayla and our other close friend Savannah Conrad were sneaking out of my house during a sleepover to go to a Green Day concert while my parents were out on their anniversary. This was nothing compared to those.

Bing!

I closed my book and placed it on top of my binder. I stood up and picked my books up and carried them in one arm. I turned around and saw Zack Noles still in his seat at the back. I heaved a sigh of relief. He's not going to come after me like the others.

I walked to the front of the classroom as my other classmates gathered their things. I started walking towards the door.

"Hey,"

I turned my head to the left and to my surprise, saw Zack standing right next to me. He wasn't looking at me, but there was no doubt that he wasn't talking to me.

"Um," I said uncertain on what to do next. "Hi."

"I hope you know where your locker is." He said, jerking his head in all directions as if looking for somebody.

"Yeah," I said, not sure what to make up of his presence. "I do."

"So you don't need help looking for it." He said. He wasn't looking at me still, but he was still walking in the same pace as me.

"I think so." I said slowly. I wondered how he knew where he was going since the hallways were getting crowded with students.

"Good," He said, and with that, he walked a little ahead of me so I knew he wasn't intending me to follow him.

I shrugged. Why did he care if I need help looking for it? Did he think I wanted him to help me find it if I did find it difficult searching it?

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and turned around. And before I could even walk around him, I crashed into him. Our books fell, few blank pieces of paper flying everywhere. The students around us ignored and some giggled as we struggled to retrieve our things. Okay, I mean I struggled to retrieve my things. I was only able to pick up my American Government book. Zack, on the other hand, seemed to have picked up everything else with less trouble.

"Sorry," he said, handing me my binder and notebook. He looked around my head as if he saw someone behind me. "Crap."

"What?"

"Yeah, I hate that class too." He said turning around so we were next to each other again. "It bores me so badly; I thought I was really close to just making my grave of boredom inside there."
