"Emojie! Can you come down here please?" Pandora called to her daughter. Emojie sighed and put her tablet away. She walked downstairs to the living room to be greeted by her annoyed mother.
"Yes mother? What is it?" She asked in her innocent tone of voice. Pandora reached into her pocket, pulling out her phone. She opened up the Twitter app and shoved the phone in Emojie's face.
"Can you explain THIS to me?!" She angerly asked. Emojie looked at the small screen. It showed her Twitter profile.
"Well mother, first you need to go on your own profile. Then you type out something to tweet and post it," she smiled. Pandora rolled her eyes.
"Not how to use Twitter! I mean why you used it in school, again!" Pandora yelled. Emojie's smile faded. She tried to think of a good excuse.
"Mother, it was during lunch. You said I could use it then!" She explained. Pandora pulled the phone back, and checked how long ago each tweet was put up.
"So you're trying to tell me that lunch at your school is 6 hours?" Pandora asked, unamused.
"Y.....yes.....?" Emojie replied. Pandora glared at Emojie, which sent a shiver down her spine.
"Emojie, I already told you 10 billion times NOT to use your phone in school! You're lucky you didn't get detention!" Pandora yelled. Emojie looked down. She put her arms behind her back and sewed her fingers together.
"Well..........actually, mother........" She began. Pandora's eyes widened.
"Emojie, you better not say-"
"I have after school detention.................for 3 weeks......" Emojie finished. Pandora didn't yell more at Emojie. She didn't give her physical punishment. She didn't give a lecture on good and bad behavior. She just put her phone back in her pocket, and walked past Emojie, heading upstairs. "Uhh, mother, where are you going?" Emojie asked, a little scared.
"Your room," Pandora replied. Emojie's eyes widened. She began to follow her mother up the stairs.
"What.....what are you gonna do in my room?" She asked.
"Gonna take your tablet," Pandora answered with an emotionless tone.
"What?! Mother, you can't take my tablet! I need it to draw art for Dolan True Stories!" Emojie cried. Pandora ignored her and continued on. "But mother! Please! I'll DIE if I don't draw!" Pandora continued to ignore her and opened the door to Emojie's room. She opened the drawer the tablet was in and pulled it out. "Mother! Can't we let father make the final choice?!?!" Emojie continued to plea. Pandora began to laugh.
"You think Hellbent will side with you? Have you ever met him? He'll probably suggest we also take away your s'mores and cheese puffs!" She explained. Emojie gasped.
"Not my snacks too! Mother please! I'm begging you!" She cried. Just then, the front door opened.
"I'm home peoples!" A voice called out.
"Looks like your father's home. Let's see what he thinks about this," Pandora said, heading back downstairs to greet her beloved.
'I can't let mother tell him!' Emojie thought. She ran downstairs beating her mother to Hellbent. "Hi father! How was work? Did anything interesting happen? You wanna tell us about it for the rest of the night?" Emojie asked, trying to buy some time.
"Well, Pringle ran into a wall. D.M.B ate a spider. Vim tried to kill Melissa. Ladybot then beat up Vim for doing so. The usual," Hellbent explained. He playfully messed up Emojie's hair, then walked over to Pandora. "Hello Sweetie~" he said before kissing her cheek.
