Absence {Taegi}

Absence (n): the nonexistence or lack of

Yoongi never really knew where this feeling of absence came from, all he knew was that it was with him for as long as he could remember. When he was younger and still lived with his family he always felt like something was missing, but he could never figure out what. Being that he was an only child he had everything he could ask for and more. He had everything a child needed to be happy, the love of his parents and their support, he had friends who filled the space of not having a sibling. He lived by himself now for a few years and never really felt alone or sad by the space of the house. He was in college majoring in music, that made the little twinge of absence take leave when he was working on a new piece or an old one. He was someone who believed highly in soulmates. That your soul would feel alone like it's missing something till it finds the other soul that matches perfectly. He was very timid and shy person so he doubted that he'd ever find his soulmate. He was wrong, one day that twinge of absence was filled when he made eye contact with another boy. This boy he shared the look of loneliness in his eyes yet he was the most energized person you'd ever met. Yoongi thought his soul must of made a mistake. That there was no way someone as timid as him could be with someone one as Taehyung was. Yet as time went on and the more he saw of taehyung the more their souls called to each other. That absence that was once felt and there for no seeming reason had slowly and over time disappeared. The longer he started to spend time around taehyung, the more Yoongi started to understand why his soul had chosen the soul of taehyung. When the two souls had become the whole they were supposed to be, the reason behind the absence became very clear to the two boys. Yoongi was looking for someone that he felt he was safe around and his soul knew exactly who to look for, and for him the absent feeling was filled. Taehyung liked fixing things and his soul found for him someone who needed fixing, and for him the absent feeling was healed.

Absence is only felt when something is missing and yet to be found.

So this is a taegi soulmate au. I like this one a bit but I hope you guys enjoy it and please do leave commentary and/ or suggestions.
