He's that popular junior guy you know you would never had a chance with, the one with the freckles and the dark hair. He's the flirt that is sononymous with all of the girls in school. Hes that charming, smooth-talking, funny guy that you see in the hallways. But you, you're that gawky sophomore , with tons of acne and chunky thighs. He's way out of your league. No way you would ever be on his radar.

And yet it happened. He approached you. Were you dreaming ? Was this even real ? No way. A simple hello was all it took. You were captivated. finding any excuse to get out of class and talk to him.

Eventually, you became friends and exchanged phone numbers. Yes ! You finally had a means of talking to him directly.

You guys became closer. Telling him your deep and intermost emotions and thoughts you never had told anyone else. But he understood right ? He was different. Or so you thought...

Overtime he said he began to fall for you. Telling you things that you had never heard before. You're beautiful. You're gorgeous. He calls you Princess. Finally, someone seems genuinely interested in you. It's like you're in your very own little fairytale. You talk to him everyday now and school is coming to a close. Summer is fast approaching.

When school lets out and summer comes, he walks to your house every week or so. WALKED to your house. What ? Someone would go out of their way, walk across town , just to come visit you ? Too good to be true...

As summer winds down, so does this relationship. He texts you less frequently. And doesn't call you anymore. You make excuses. Oh he's just busy. I can't be the only thing he spends time on.

The texts continue to dwindle. Sometimes not even responding after a couple of messages or so. You start to feel the withdrawal. Then one day, he doesn't text at all. You don't dare try to message him first, you don't want to be clingy.

Days go by and still nothing. Now you miss him. You look online because you are curious as to what he's up to. When you get to his page, your heart drops. You gaze at a picture of him with his arm wrapped around a smiling girl. Caption: "I love my baby <3" Heartbreak.  Thats all there is to it. At that point, you're shattered. But what happened ? You thought you meant so much to him ? He said so.

But you didn't.  He never really cared about you. When he was telling you that you were so perfect, he was saying the same thing to someone else. Thats the kind of guy he is. He's a low-life, lying, deceitful, jerk. He's a player. Now you finally see, this wonderful guy that you so desperately wanted, was never perfect. Now you're left crushed. Slowly picking up the pieces...
