I Time Travel for Love (chp.14)
---Annabel---
Jake explains to me how he comes from the future and that he knows me. He tells me everything there is to know about time travel. Now I know that there is a way to control it. It takes practice, he tells me. How could he possibly get a hold of it? When your body starts tingling, that's the end. You know your leaving.
I ask him everything I can possibly think of asking him. He tells me that the traveling can be controled with my mind. I believe him. I have never tried anything to help me to stay in the present or future.
He tells me that most of his family are travelers also. I try to think of a family of time travelers. I bet nobody is ever home, I laugh.
"I bet it must be so nice for your family to be mostly all travelers." I say.
"Yeah it is. We have a hard time keeping track of where who is." He laughs.
"So tell me how you control the traveling?" I ask.
"It's hard at first to find what controls it. For example, I yell at myself." He says. I chuckle.
"What do you mean you yell at yourself."
"Wel...I tell myself things like 'Don't go! You can't leave now you stupid traveler!' and other things but you get the point."
"Wow I don't know if that would work for me. I yell at myself all the time" I laugh.
"Yeah you do. Anyway, my sister keeps a pink sheer fabric that smells like mom and everytime she thinks she is leaving or needs to go somewhere she just smells it and it helps her concentrate." He tells me.
"Wow. Help me find what will help me! Please?"
"Yeah that's why I'm here even though I already know what helps you."
"Your a cheater!" I point an acusing finger at him.
"You made me do it." He says with a shrug.
"So what do I do?"
"You rub the tingle away with your hands or you sing your ABC's."
"Well...why didn't I ever try that?" I mentally slap myself. Jake laughs.
"Ready to try it? I don't trust my sister with my d...I mean...Josh and Mike." He says.
"Your sister is with Josh and Mike?" I ask perplexed.
"Yeah she would have come to you, but she's a bit out there and she probably would have scared you." He smiles. I can see the warmth and love in his eyes when he talks about his sister.
"Okay I guess I'm ready...oh wait let me text my mom."
Text to mom: I think I'm going again I feel the tingle. Don't worry about me. I love you!
I take a deep breath and go to sit on my bed. Jake comes to sit by me.
"This might take a while. You ready?" He asks.
"Yeah I think I'll get it quick." I smile confidently.
"Before we start though...how do you know me in the future?"
"I really can't say...sorry. I wish I could tell you." He smiles at me.
This leaves me wondering. Who could he be? Friend? Family? Co-worker? Lover? I don't think the last one. How could I possibly love anybody more than I love Josh and Mike? I miss them so much. I hope this works and I get to them. I really want to know who this Jake is though.
We work on me trying to get to the futer. It takes about two hours and then I feel a tingle.
"I feel a tingle!" I yell.
"Okay. Sing your ABC's in your head and concentrate on making the tingle take over your body." Jake says excitedly.
The next think I know the tingle is at my chest and I'm still singing the Abc's. When suddenly I black out. I open my eyes to find myself in my room of the Williams' house.
Jake appears right next to me. I smile at him and give him a big hug. I need to find Mike and Josh!
I open the door to Josh's room because I hear voices coming from there. I burst open to see both of them talking to a beautiful creature. She reminds me of a fairy princess! She smiles at me with so much warmth in her eyes. I smile back feeling love for her also.
"Mom!" She yelps and runs into my arms.

We arrive at the 'cabin'. I don't know why they call it that if it's so big. Oh well. Annabel leads me into a room and opens the door. I see my sister with Josh and Mike. When she sees Annabel her eyes light up with so much love. I know she's going to give us away.
"Mom!" She yelles and leaps into Annabel's arms.
I look at Annabel and she looks confused, but she hugs my sister back.
"Annabel, this is my sister, Nikki." I say to her.
"Stop calling her Annabel. Call her mom!" Nikki says.
"Why are you guys calling me mom?" Annabel says.
"Well, because your our mom. But in the past." Nikki giggles.
"Stop scaring her Nikki. Mom said not to say anything!" I yell at Nikki. She just rolls her eyes at me.
"Can someone please tell me what is going on?" Annabel says.
"Yes. Now that Nikki blew our cover I guess I can. Nikki is your daughter and I am your son. In the future you asked us to come here. One of us needed to help you come back and the other needed to stop Mike and Josh from trying to get you and possibly killing themselves. We decided that I should go to you because well Nikki is very blunt and she probably would have ruined everything." I say turning to her giving her a deathly glare.
"Oh whatever she knew it was me I saw it in her eyes. She doesn't look at you the same way she looks at me. which means I'm the favorite!" She smiles.
"Whatever...anyways, Nikki came to stop dad from possibly killing himself. We knew she was best for the job well beacause she's scary." I laugh.
"See, You screwed up too! You just said Dad!" She starts laughing hysteracally.
"Who's your dad?" Josh asks. Speaking for the first time.
"Crap! I can't say who. Mom said it would ruin everything." I say.
How could I be so stupid! I could have just blew this whole thing up. Mom told us that was the most important thing not to say to them. She also told us about how she loved them both, but in the end one of them stold her heart.
She didn't want us to say anything because it wouldn't be fair to my uncle. He was happy now though. He had kids of his own and a wife. He still jokes around with dad saying that mom just chose him because she felt sorry for him. They make me laugh.
