I Time Travel for Love (chp.12)
---Annabel---
I woke up the next morning in a daze. I slept so great last night I didn't even have nightmares or anything. Mike's arm was around me and I felt his warm breath on my shoulder. Last night was amazing. I was still tingling all over.
I was ready to have sex, but Mike said that he wanted my first time to be special.
I was fine by it, but I knew that he wanted my first time to be with someone I could actually be with. Suddenly the door burst open and in walks in Josh. Crap! I qickly grabbed my shirt from the side of the bed and throw it on.
"Bel I can't stop thinking about you!" He says and closes the door.
Mike bolts up from the bed, shirtless. Thats it, I'm dead. How could I have done this to Josh? I know he probably slept with that girl he was dancing with last night, but she's not my sister for goodness sakes! I feel so ashamed, if only I could disappear. Wait, I can. In less than a month, I remind myself.
"What the hell is he doing in your room!" Josh yells at me, but doesn't take his eyes off of Mike.
"Josh please calm down. I just was not having a good night with what happened last night."
Mike got up off the bed and walked towards me. He walked me to the bed and plants a kiss on my cheek.
"Josh, let's talk outside. Don't be an idiot, it's not her fault your an ass and she doesn't deserve to be yelled at." Mike calmly says.
The next thing I knew Josh tackles Mike. They are wrestling on the ground yelling at eachother when I feel it. The tingle starts to get worse it's already all the way up my legs. I fall to the floor and Mike and Josh rush over to me.
"What is it Annie?" Josh asks.
"I guess I'm leaving early this time." I smile trying to cover up the hurt.
"Isn't there anything you can do?" Mike grabs my hand. I know I only have about three minutes before im gone.
"No. Can you guys promise me somthing?" I ask both of them.
"Yes, anything Bel." Mike says.
"Don't come next year. I'm tired of the fighting. I can't be with either of you and you guys know it. Just please live your life and find a woman you can love. I love you guys and tell everyone else I'll see them next year." I now have tears in my eyes and the tingle is all the way up to my chest. I will be gone soon.
"I love you Annabel I always will." Josh says getting up and walking out of the room. I can tell he's hurt.
Mike pulls me in for a hug and whispers, "I love you my pixie. I will wait for you forever. I will see you next year."
---Mike---
I look down and I'm holding nothing. The room smells of sunflowers. I can't believe she's gone. This is the shortest amount of time she has been here. I feel like taking the hover ship and being sucked into a black hole right now. I walk over to her bed and lay down.
I lay on her pillow and it smells so much like her. I want her in my arms again. I can't help but feel bad for Josh. I didn't mean to fall in love with his girl. I do feel guilty, but Josh has been dating that Mariah girl for a year and I bet he didn't even tell Annie.
I here the door open up. I look ober and it's mom. She comes and sits on the bed.
"I heard she left." She says.
"Yeah..." I sigh.
"I know you have feelings for her hun. Did you tell her?" She asks me.
"Yeah before she left. She told Josh and I not to come next year. I told her I would wait for her and I would see her next year." I told her.
"I always knew you loved her. I remember when she was young you guys would go off to the forest and she would follow you everywhere. I see the love she has for you in her eyes."
"I just feel so guilty because of Josh."
"Josh has always loved our Bel. I don't blame you for feeling like you do. In the end it will be her choice." Mom kisses my cheek and walks out.
I will stay on this bed forever. I hope her scent stays for a while. Before I know it I'm falling asleep. My dreams are filled with visions of Annabel and the scent of sunflowers.
