School was boring as it normally was. Nevada had spent the last to period in the nurses' office. Playing them that her stomach had hurt. The bell rang for last period, which meant there were goanna be kids racing to the last class. By third period on most days everyone was there. First two classes were for people who actually woke up and wanted to go to school. Deven never missed a class since he was born. Mostly because of his parents, and his dream to leave one day. Nevada, Dunstan and I normally showed up in the middle of second period. Then had Deven fill in what we missed during out third period free. Awhile back they had all asked to be in the same classes, which failed to work. The system never worked, but each picked which teacher and class they wanted. Inviting them selves in to join the class, which was welcomed since no one ever showed up for anything.

They had picked what they wanted for as long as they could remember. The school system sucked but at least they could get the most out of it. Last period was Mr. Mark's math class. He was irritable, but the only teacher willing to semi teach. There were about ten kids in a class meant for twenty-four. Deven was in the first row first seat, writing everything down as fast as he could. Dunstan and I were in the back talking to each other. Today was uneventful, normally there was a fit or two. Sometimes the police came, but that was when they wanted to. But once they got there, they normally watched like the rest of us. I never mind, because no one would fight a girl. Dunstan was in a lot of them, but he was big enough to hold his own against everyone. Nevada got in one here and there, but talked her way out of it. Deven, well the nerd of the school, he got picked on a lot. Though having a friend like Dunstan helping a lot.

Mr. Marks had handed out a work sheet, Deven was don't within a minute. The rest just starred confused. Dunstan and I brushed them off our tables.

"Are we gonna do some magic playing tonight?" Dunstan had asked her this for the millionth time. Each was a different answer.

"I guess." I pushed my raven black hair out of my face into a messy bun. As I looked up there was no missing the huge smile displayed on his face.

"What are we, well you gonna learn?" He was partially jumping out of his chair. If anyone looked over they would have thought, she was telling him something about sex. Everyone in the school even the teachers' dirty minds.

"I was thinking we could try to get to this place?" I took the book out of my bag placing it on the desk. Opening it up I scrolled threw, till I stopped at the map. "Levat."

"Wow, that's a little ambitious. Plus, isn't that person searching for you." Dunstan had a Deven side to him. It came out every now and then to stop him from doing stupid things. It never seemed to work, stupid things were his calling. They called and longed for him. As he would describe it 'I have to answer them, its my moral duty'. Sometimes I thought there was no brain in there at all.

"Yeah. But we should see what were us against right? I mean were gonna go sooner or later." Closing the book, she looked at him. There was a confused look on his face, it never suited him. He looked better with a cunning grin or a gigantic smile. "I mean you read the note, only I can save them. We have to save them right?" I looked down at my hands.

"Well what if its fake, or a trap." Dunstan had a point they didn't know much about this place. The book only provided do much. "I think we need to know more." He was right, which was rare.

"Fine will go to the library after school." He nodded in agreement. Not talking, I continued. "Then we go." He didn't motion anything or say anything. He turned back to the teacher, blocking me out.

The bell rang ending the class. No home work was given out, seeing as no one ever did it. Dunstan and I headed for the library, which stayed open for an hour after school ended. We had filled Deven in on the play as we walked. He left to go get Nevada out of the heath center. Dunstan and I walked in to the quietness, it was like a walls were around them. Blocking them from all the other people around.
