"I think each time we come out here it gets creepier and creepier." Deven's voice rang out from behind me. We were walking through the dark woods. It was the middle of the night so only the moonlight was there to guide us. Our parents all had been asleep has we gathered each other. My parents were the first to go to sleep. I met Nevada outside, at her house. Then we went to go see Deven try and sneak out of his house. Which is always an experience to watch a nerd perform a bad boy stunt. As he attempted to climb out his window on the top floor, I could tell this wasn't going to end in the cool way he thought it would. He had one leg out the window, and one still in the room, when he started aggressively whispering down at us to help him. I couldn't move, I had been laughing to hard at the sense in front of me. Nevada quickly went into action. She moved closer to the house grabbing leaves and small twigs. Pilling them up on the ground, like a makeshift bed for him to fall on. As he was hanging there trying to remain calm, Dunstan had come up behind me.
"Wow. I thought nerd read cool stuff. So you should be able to do this, spy kid." Dunstan's voice straddled me, which made him laugh. He was already practically in tears from the images of Deven stuck in the window. I lightly hit I'm on the shoulder and then moved back to the exciting event to unfold.
Nevada was about five minutes into making her pillow like place, when a light in the house turned on. Deven started to flip as did the rest of us. Dunstan and I went and hit in-between the bushes and the clean painted house. Nevada was in a bush facing the house, but angled so that we could see here crouching body. Deven was starting to flip out, I saw his other leg fly out of the window. He was dangling there, holding himself up with his hands. That's when we all heard that door to his room open.
"No honey his sleeping. Lets not bother him." Deven's fathers voice rang out through the air. Once the door closed we all let out the breathes we had been holding in. Deven let go of the window falling only a short distance to the ground. Nevada's little sound covering blanket, had worked. Deven had made minimal noise during is crash landing. But Dunstan and I couldn't contain ourselves from a few more laughs. Helping him up we surrounded him as he brushed himself up.
"I'll give it to you. Tricking your parents into thinking you were still there is good." Dunstan shook his head, he looked serious. But then that was all lost as he started to laugh again. "But you are not Spiderman." We all laughed a little bit. As Deven got redder, we walked off into the woods.
Deven was already having a bad night. Nothing could really make it worse. But knowing him something was bound to happen. So we all kept and eye on him. No one was to not be watching I'm at any time. As we walked the trees only grew thicker. Everyone's heart was starting to rush. Only when we spotted the opening in the trees did everyone start to breath easier. As we got there we made a square and talked before we went in.
"Alright when we come out, everyone eyes open. I don't want anything happening again." I spoke softly looking over at Deven. So started to rub the spot that the arrow had dug into. I looked down at the ground. Starting to rethink everything.
"We got this. Let's go save a town." Dunstan's voice broke my negative thoughts. I wanted to thank him for understanding that I really needed those words. But more so from him. Nevada just nodded her head, and was easily getting annoyed.
"So are we going to go before it starts to become day?" We all looked at her, she shrugged us off. I took a deep breath, stretching my hands out to the ground. I closed my eyes, letting go the breath I was holding.
Slowly I spoke out. "Ret asva ginu slevoi bahne" I felt the ground beneath me fall out. We were falling, everything was black.
As we opened out eyes again, we all crashed into the ground of a forest. This was a bright out, which hurt my eyes as I tried to open them. I closed them quickly, taking fast blinks adjusting myself to the new light. I looked around, but everything was still blurry. I could make out the outlines of everyone.
