you guys might be confused as to what's going on with liam- i apologize!! also really short so

Brett's POV:

i sat in the corner at the Sinema, drinking my thoughts away. i had plenty of offers from friends to dance, but i didn't want to. heartbreak sucked, a lot. seeing all the couples around, just ruined me some more.
i had definitely checked my phone more than ten times that night, eager to hear back from Liam even though he claimed to no longer want me.

"hey, babe.. what's the matter?" Wesley came up to me, sitting closely beside me. "nothing." i stated, not even able to look the kid in the eyes.
with my constant hurting, i was an embarrassment to anyone around me.
"want another round of shots?" he asked kindly and i shook my head, not even drinks sounded appealing right now. then, out of the blue, my eyes fixated on a way too known face.
Liam had his arm thrown around a girl's waist- Tracy's waist. he looked completely out of it, but he smiled and gave drunken laughs to the people
around him. people moved around me but my world stopped as i watched him.

he broke up with me, for this?

before i could contain my burst of anger, i'm soon making my way toward my ex, adrenaline rushing.
i quickly confront him, yanking him backward and causing him to stumble.
"Liam!" i yell as he faces me, the people around him looking unhappy as well.
Liam's face was suddenly hit with a bit of realization, but he also looked hurt.
"get away from me, man." he shouted over the music, attempting to walk away with the suspicious crew. i grasp his arm.
"no, you fucking asshole, you're going to talk to me! not ignore me-" before i could finish, Liam swung his fist right in my face, hitting me just above my cheekbone, causing me to lose balance.
"i said get away from me." Liam said coldly, Tracy smirking as she threw her hand around Liam's waist, pulling him off into the crowd with the rest of his new friends. i watched as they disappeared, my heart physically aching and my face bleeding. i wondered how everything quickly escalated so fast.
