a whole week of school had past since the party.
Brett and i had talked, only about the project.
i had zero calls from him and no texts on Saturday morning.
i ended up taking the baby for the weekend, not bothering to tell him.

we hadn't even kissed, not once.
it's not like im complaining too much, it just gives us space.
that way im for sure not coming off as clingy.

but, it was almost like i had done something to Brett, but he wouldn't tell me.
he was a bit off, not too much of course, just not as happy as his usual self.

i often thought, should i be the one texting him? but always passed the idea.

i decided to be careful and wrap the doll up in a blanket, placing it on my bed.
on Monday we would be handing them back.
which also meant that Brett and i wouldn't spend too much time together.

i pulled out my phone from my pocket as i laid down on my bed.
i dialled Scott's number.
"hey," he picked up immediately.
Scott's breathing was uneven and i could hear someone in the background.
"did i just interrupted something?-" i asked insure.
"yeah- I'll call you later" he hung up before i had the chance to say goodbye.
okay then.
i tried a bunch of different people to maybe hang out with.
Stiles was busy at the station helping his dad.
Kira was of course with Scott.
Mason was on a road trip for this weekend.
Malia didn't feel doing because of specific girl stuff.
the last one i was going to call was Lydia.

the phone rang 3 times before she picked up.
"hey Liam!" she said happily into the phone.
unusual for Lydia.
"hey.. i was wondering if you were busy today?" i asked her.
"well- i was going to go to the mall, you wanna come?" Lydia offered me.
"yeah sure, that'd be good" i answered quickly.
"okay, I'll pick you up in 10, seeya" i clicked end and began to get ready.

shopping with Lydia seemed to be a quite interesting idea but, i never really spend 1 on 1 time with her so why not?
i went downstairs once i was done fixing myself up, and waited in the living room.

moments later i heard a honking sound coming from the front and i stood upr on the couch, rushing to the door.
i opened it and saw Lydia smiling in her little Prius, looking very pleased to see me.
she had on a blue dress with a little belt.
i shut the door and ran out to her car.
i opened the door and greeted her.
"hey," i breathed out.
"hello there, ready for some major shopping?" a smirked formed on her bright red lips as i sat in her car, shutting the door.
"i guess so?" i put on my seatbelt and Lydia instantly sped away.
i quickly put my hand on the dash, to keep myself from hitting my face.
"jeez, someone's eager?" i raised my eyebrows, laughing at her.
"very," she teased.
"so, I've been hearing some things about a certain boy, huh?" Lydia took her eyes off the road for a minute, sending me a cheeky smile.
"w-what, who would say that?" i pretend i have no clue what she's talking about.
"oh please," Lydia stopped at the light, pulling down her mirror to check her lipstick.
"im pretty sure we all know about you having a thing with a mysterious boy," she giggled and shut the mirror.
"well yeah, but he's not so mysterious.. just Brett" i laughed awkwardly.
"woah, woah, woah, Brett Talbot?!" Lydia squealed as she drove.
"yeah?" i say uneasy.
"awww that's adorable! my little puppy dog Liam having a thing with a boy," she cooed jokingly.
"hey," i pretend to be offended.
"im kidding, but im still shocked i mean.. Brett hated your guts at one point, and now you two are dating!" her voice dripping with excitement.
"no! not dating..- at least not yet" i smirked at her, knowing that would get a rise out of her.
"i ship that, but if he ever hurts you, i will personally go full on banshee with him and kick his ass" Lydia went dead serious.
"ahh okay, deal. thank you," i laughed.
