Chapter 18. Tyler...

Jessica's POV

We were heading south as we planned. We came upon a church, It looked like someone was living in it.
But then I started to think about Edgar. Gosh I miss him and his goofy smiles.

Flash back

we were both thirteen we where playing in the woods one day and I fell and scraped my knee on a sharp rock he ran over and examined my wound. He gets out a pack of large circular band-aids and places two on my leg. And he hugged me and asked if I felt okay. I said yeah... Thanks to you. He had the biggest grin I ever saw that day.

End of flash back

Just then Brendon heard some moans and followed them to the back room. We were all shocked to see Tyler. At least what was left of Tyler. His legs were gone and there was blood everywhere. Brendon gagged. Jake pulls out Edgar's crossbow and says sorry Tyler. You were a good friend of ours. Jake pulls the trigger on the crossbow. He takes out the arrow and we drag his body outside. Then I began to wonder how Statia was going to take that. If she was alive. She could be anywhere. It's been days since the attack.

Time skip

We all sat down in the church and we were eating some of our food. Jake looks at me with a sad look. What's wrong? I asked him. He said oh it's nothing. I'm just censured for you. I know you loved him. Yeah... I actually had a flash back of us playing in the woods before we even met you. I was his first friend... We all ended up falling asleep. I had a dream about Edgar again but this time it was a happy one.
