*Emma's POV*

December

Christmas break is almost here!

Two and a hal weeks of no school!

And better yet, no homework!

"Are you excited to go home to England?" Lauren asks me as we're both packing our suitcases.

"You better believe I am! I honestly miss England a lot.  miss my parents, my sister, my brother--surprisingly--, and I miss my dog. Let's not forget my friends back home, too. I miss them a lot." I say.

"You are gonna miss me, right?"

"Of course I am! You'd have to be crazy to not miss you!"

"Good."

"But it just won't be as much."

She fakes a look of hurt. "Why?"

"Because it's only going to be two and a half weeks without you.  haven't seen anyone back home since August, with the exception of my parents."

"I know! I was just faking it."

"Yeah, I know you were."

"How-"

"You had an obvious look of fake hurt."

"I know I did. I just wanted to see if you saw it."

"You're so weird."

"Thanks."

In the morning, I takethe shuttle bus from the school to the airport for my flight.

After spending the whole day either in an airport or on a plane, my second flight is finally landing in London. Stupid layovers.

"Emma!" I hear my dad yell.

"Oh god!" I mutter and turn around, "Mum! Dad!"

"We've missed you!" mum says hugging me tightly.

"I've missed you, too."

"You don't call us much for missin us." dad says, obviously trying to make me feel guilty.

"School's been really busy."

Dad gives me a look of mock annoyance.

I return his look with a smirk.

"You're good." he says.

"Well, I am your child." I reply.

When we get home, I am tackled in hugs.

"I missed you!" both Jordan and Mariah yell.

"I missed you, too!" I say, "It's nice knowing that you missed me, too."

"Oh, c'mon, of course I missed you!" Mariah says, "You left me alone with our parents!"

"Not my fault I'm the more talented daughter."

She glares at me and lightly punches my arm.

"Alright, now hug and make up!" Jordan orders the two of us.

"Sir, yes, sir!" I say and salute him.

"You've gotten werder since August." both my older brother and sister say.

"Great weirdness sometimes comes after getting great rewards. Look at mum and dad."

Fortunately for me, both mum and dad are no longer in the room.

*Katie's POV*

"Mum, dad, you'll never guess what your youngest daughter said about you earlier today." Jordantells us during dinner.
