*Blake's POV*

February

You can do it, Blake. You talk to her pretty much every single day. This is no different.

Expect for the fact that you've never talked to her about this.

You can do it.

"Hey, Emma." I say to her.

"Hey!" she says.

"So, II was wondering if you, uh, maybe wanted to go get dinner sometime or see a movie or something with me."

"Like on a date?"

"Yeah. You're probably gonna say no, it's-"

"Sure."

"What?"

"I will go on a date with you."

"You will?!"

"I will."

"Great! So, uh, Friday?"

"Friday is perfect."

"I'll be by your dorm around seven."

"Great!"

I can't say anything,so I just smile.

She smiles back at me. "Bye, Blake."

"Bye."

She walks off in the opposite direction.

Yes!

*Emma's POV*

Blake just asked me out! I know that I once thought that someone else was the sweetest guy I'd ever met, but I was wrong. The sweetest guy I've ever met is most definitely Blake.

"Why do you look so happy?" Lauren asks me when I get back to our dorm room.

"Blake asked me out!" I tell her.

"He did?!"

"Yeah."

"Was it romantic?"

"No. He seemed awkward about it. Almost as if he was sure that I was gonna no, but still decided to as just in case I said yes."

"Do you like Blake?"

"I'm not 100% sure how I feel about him. I mean, we're really good friends, and I do like him as a friend. That I do know. But, I just feel like there's something between us. I'm not sure what it is. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. But, I kind of like it."

"Whatever that something is, it's gotta be good if you like it."

"'Why does if feel so good, but hurt so bad?' Have you never heard that before?"

"No."

"Well, it's a line from a song. It's basically saying that it can be bad, even if I do like it. Only, neither of us attract trouble like magnets."

"Which is good."

"That it is."

*Blake's POV*

Friday

"Hey, Blake!" Emma says when she sees me.

"Hey." I say, "So, I thought that we could see a movie."

"Sounds great."

We head to the theater and wait in line for a while, waiting to get our tickets.

"Ooh! They remade Gremlins!" Emma nearly squeals.

"What?" I ask her.

"Gremlins! It's a great movie from the 1980s. According to my grandpa, it's also the reason that there's the movie rating PG-13. Still, we have to see it!"
